Just got a subpoena from my ISP...

Porn is more likely to get you sued than movies + music.

RIAA + MPAA have bigger fish to fry these days, whereas most of the DVD porn producers are, well..... fucked. Nobody buys their smut on DVD any more, and they get shit all money from Pay Per View. So they have nothing to lose.

Plus it's a lot less likely people will want to go to court to defend themselves against a claim they downloaded "Gay tranny teen cocksuckers and donkeys vol. 4" than "Titanic".

This shit is getting pathetic. People are so desperate to make some money. I would fight this shit until my death.

Ive had the "John Doe" lawsuit before as well.

1. It's not supposed to be legal for them to file suit without knowing who you are. IE: Anonymous Lawsuits.

2. The easy off is that you have open WiFi and someone used your network without your knowledge. You had a virus/trojan etc.

3. Last time I got a file sharing notice I played dumb and it went away.

4. Did it come certified or registered mail? if not then round file the damn thing until they take more aggressive action. Your ISP if subpeona'd may or may not cooperate, don't willfully respond at this time and incriminate yourself unless they know you recieved it via certified or registered mail. Certain types of subpeonas have to be personally delivered to you and if not the case will be dismissed "without prejudice".

5. Get a simple pre-paid legal account for $25/mo and have a professional handle it.

6. Watch more Red-tube or You-porn.

I wouldn't really say anything to them without consulting an attorney. When you open your mouth and start speaking that could go against you. If you need a good attorney that knows the business hit me up - we use him and he is a great guy.

How's vol. 4?

I've only watched vols. 1-3. Been wanting to pick up vol. 4 for awhile now.

Not really worth the money imho. 1 and 2 were great, but after that the plot started to go down hill. Not really sure if they changed writers or what, but don't waste your money.

Your nickname sounds familiar. Are you the guy on Reddit who was getting pissed off with people bashing the kid who got a marketing job? If so, kudos to you.

that would be me. all the little aspie assholes posting a youtube link to bill hicks. anyone taking life lessons from a comedian should immediately kill themselves.

Wonder where that idea came from? First 10 seconds.

YouTube - Bill Hicks on Marketing

I know, that was my point. Some guy sent out 100+ resumes and finally got a job, and reddit users post this video 20+ times and call him an "evil asshole" etc etc, so I ripped into them. Internet self-diagnosed aspergers fuckups who are 29, live at home and masturbate with cheeto dust making judgment calls about other people's lives are the worst.

The fallacy here is that piracy actually is lost revenue. That each pirate had the means to pay and would have paid otherwise.

Let's face it, a lot more people would get a Maserati if they were free than if they cost full retail. Assuming that every free or pirate user is a lost sale is the mistake.

Fact is, these content and software producers don't offer additional value (incent) to make ownership attractive and drive sales.

Trent Reznor is a genius for figuring this stuff out.

Yeah, i think the series jumped the shark when they started surgically implanting penises in weird places on the actors.
