Just got scammed

I got scammed for 100 $ a couple of days back and was in a bad mood ever since. But I must say OP's post made me feel much better.

Can try. Are you allowed to chargeback the same transaction twice?

Sorry for your loss OP but I don't know why people pay any kind of a deposit on a freelance job, whether it be design or programming. I stipulate NO DEPOSITS on all my oDesk jobs yet you always get idiots wanting to be paid 50% upfront.

I know freelancers want to protect themselves but some (most?) just screw you over. Better for both to pay out on milestones.

Getting scammed is a part of this world. I have got scammed over 1500$ in past 20 days. Some fucker paid from stolen cards and I'm down to 1500 and I expect some more chargebacks as I found he did some more fraudulent transaction. Worst thing is asshole writing me in emails and even chatting with me on gtalk and threatening me that if I didn't provide him more services he will be going to scam again.

Honestly, I can get a far better web design than any of the portfolio designs listed on his site for a fraction of that $2500 he quoted.
