Justin Dupre... ballin' on all angles

Ugh. Dupre stays failing.

BTW, way to hold a two year grudge, Tangy. Stay classy San Diego...

I was waiting for you to show up in this thread buddy!! Hope things are well.

By the way - I don't hold grudges... shit I only realized he was doing it when my laptop started to sound like a lawn mower as I was reading his blog.

I don't make the news... I just report it

Female POV:

I freakin love a man that wears jeans that show off his ass. That being said I freakin hate skinny jeans. Unless you're 16 (and I'm not even sure then) you have no business wearing this shit.

How to show off the goods in a way that will still get you laid:

^^We ladies want to see what you're offering but if you're offering emo, no thanks.

They all make you look like a fag to me

Jetlag jeans. You could find them off of melrose in LA a few years back. Makes your package look like you're a superhero.

^way too fucking tight.

Oh, I dunno... I suppose if you have the body of a 12 year old girl you can wear jeans like that.

Those of us who have an actual male physique... not a chance. My thighs would split skinny jeans in no time. I feel like fucking Cro Cop wearing snug jeans as it is.

Gotta slow down on the squats, I guess. Or just stay in shape and laugh at these puny hipsters

From some quick research:

Let's say his site gets 1k visitors a day and average user time is 5 minutes. Typical js bitcoin mining generates a few thousand hashes per visitor per second(based off bitp.it - Turn Visitors into Bitcoins). So we have close to a billion hashes being generated per day. Sounds like a lot, but that only equals 1k megahashes per day or 0.01 megahashes per second which according to the bitcoin calculator here(http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.php) will yield about 15 cents a month. Beyond embarrassing to even ponder as a source of revenue.

I posted this in the other thread too, but does anyone know what the bitcoin program is doing exactly? What is the purpose of solving the hash things or math equations or w/e.

I'm guessing it's spamming or hacking into something?

As far as I understand, It's processing transactions... Right now it pays 50btc to solve a block, which is basically brutforcing the huge hash code. Since its p2p, this block needs to be solved so that the transactions (sending/receiving btc for other users) can happen. Say you want to send 1btc to someone, someone need to process the transaction for you so your btc can be sent and recorded in the db.

The reward gets cut in half every certain amount of blocks that get processed. Right now it is around block #130,000, as far as I remember, once it reaches #210,000 the reward will be only 25 btc for solving a block.

Now my questions is what happens once the ability to generate decent reward runs out... Who will process the transactions?

^^
this. Very interested in finding out how to monetize crap traffic.

I tested bitp.it - Turn Visitors into Bitcoins on a site with indian traffic with around 2-3k visitors a day. 0.0btc in almost a week using their pool, doesn't seem that you can get anything unless you got a lot more traffic. These types of sites use javascript, and as far as I can tell it only relies on cpu mining, which is really slow... Also, I don't think its as much unique visitors as how long they stay on your site since it will be relatively the same to have 1 visitor who stays for 2 minutes as it is to have 2 visitors that stay 1 minute.

sure

bitcoins are a new currency like dollars or british pounds or euros
they're generated "mined" by solving fancy math problems that are hard for computers to solve so basically must be solved by random guess and checks for the most part(not explaining that cause it takes nearly a BS in math to explain it)
they're limited to a certain amount ever created because of the system increases the difficulty as more are created and stops allowing them to be created at some point
They are anonymous and no fees are charged when exchanging them (unlike paypal)
You can generate them if you have a decent graphics card (amd) [for now]
people use them to buy various stuff just like dollars

just looked into these and they're pretty sweet setup my gaming computer to make some and looks like it'll only make about $1/day super ballin since it's a geforce
pretty easy to setup https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page
it woulda just sat there anyway
Thinking of buying a fancy new gaming computer to generate them as it looks like it'll pay for itself in about 3 months
And who doesn't want a fancy new free gaming computer

Did you account for wasted energy? If you simply turned off the computer, you might save more than $1/day? Especially if the software really pushing the hardware limits during crunch time.

Interesting, has anybody here had any success with bitp.it? Or know if it's at least legit? When you say 15 cents, do you mean 0.15btcs or 15 US cents?

Actually it really doesn't even matter, even if it's 0.15btcs that is still only a $0.15CPM with bit coin pricing at $30USD.

But I believe with Bitcoingplus it pools all the computers together or something? Like the idea behind it is that it'll pool all the energy together and when it solves a puzzle, it'll split the bitcoins. But I'm really confused here so I don't really know.

Lol that's true. It seems like a giant waste of time.

Is there a figure for estimated revenue per visitor? Would be interesting to figure out exactly how much traffic you'd need to bother with this.

le sigh. so many noobs in here.

bitp.it - Turn Visitors into Bitcoins . I been had my traffic mining BitCoins for me. :) If you have A LOT of traffic (no im not talking under 6 fig impressions a day) then you can make some nice $ with this. If you have an avg on page time of 4-5 min. then you will be A+
