The market will determine if G's new search policies will be successful or not, and if G wants to rebrand itself as a portal, so be it. Someone else is waiting to grab a larger share of the search market.

I do believe this and I think it will happen if they continue to try to strong-arm people into joining their crappy social network. Google doesn't realize that they are FAIL at social, so they just figure they will force themselves upon the masses and we'll learn to love it. Kinda creepy actually.

I think the Keep Google Honest campaign is good though, just so they know people are starting to get irritated at the strong-arming. :2twocents:
