I use Excel to record all my PPC tests and keep track of expired campaigns for future reference. Is there any program out there that simplifies this and has importing features and a smooth interface.

Sort of like evernote.com . I used to throw all my ideas in notepad but now using evernote saves me tons of time and is super organized. I'm looking for something similar for PPC campaigns.

Not sure, I just make notes regarding that stuff, in my experience whenever I try to tweak a campaign it gets worst. Anyway, thanks for that link to evernote, right now I'm using notepad for all my notes and have so many notepad files everywhere, whenever I think I have an important note I end up copy/paste in 3-4 different notepad files, "should this go in, website ideas, blog ideas, articles?".... This software looks like it should be able to organize very well, and it's free!

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to figure out, is there a decent way to search for text? When I try to search in that field box, all I get is yellow highlights, but the software doesn't jump to the highlighted text. I have to go through the entire document to see which words are highlighted. Is there a simpler way to do this.

Besides that it seems to work well, now every time I start my computer I don't have to open 10 different notepad documents for every category of notes.

Sorry for taking over your thread.

only way to track data is in a db. if you're going to do this long term you really need to setup a database with your data and track to it. then you can reference it anytime in the future rather then scrounging through files.

Yes, evernote rules. I like "treepad" as well, which should solve some of your organizational problems.

BTW, I hope everyone is using the awesome Notepad++

.:: NOTEPAD++ ::.

The best windows text / code editor ... so many great features.
