I'm a full time marketer with 1 employee. I've been having some issues with keeping my employee busy. What do some of you do to keep them busy. What are some daily jobs you have them do that are a good investment. I usually have him do some research and make websites only, and on down time or when i'm too busy to watch him I really don't know what to do.

Advice me players!

I have this problem too.

Sometimes I just tell her to optimize the sites for CTR. Make images. etc

Another idea is to hire company on a contractual basis.

lol, glad I'm not the only one. Yeah I usually have them make random Ads or LPs that I never end up using.

Sometimes I think a $3 hour virtual assistant can do his job. :\

Always have small projects ready to go be it creative, SEO/redundant task related or even cleaning!

Yeah I think a lot of it is my fault as the boss, i'm just to lazy to make small projects.

To everyone else: my employees not female.

Keep up with the ideas, the employees my brother, he's smart, but just doesn't seem to have the passion in this that I do. Honestly i don't think he has any passion in anything for that matter.

Make a list of secondary tasks (content, link building, research, cleaning, clean up your desktop icons LOL, spin articles, who knows. lol).

do all your company work, outsource all your home stuff to him. fix things, clean things, walk animals/kids, etc.

Ask him what he thinks he could do that would make the best use of his time. Then get him to do some of that, with guiding input from you.

If he can't give you an answer, you need a different employee.

EDIT: just read the comment that it's your brother. I admire your charity.

It seems more like the issue is motivation. If you could give him a large list of keywords you want to rank for, article topics in your niche, or new landing pages for an offer you are confident will convert then the success he will achieve could start the fire. Giving him mindless tasks to kill time doesn't really help anything. Setting him up to achieve will be empowering for him and your business.

Thats because a $2-3 hours va can do his job and probably better and faster :)

to keep him busy start other projects, test traffic sources, seo work, etc...

Give him a list of 1000 articles you want him to write when he has nothing else to do...
