Kendrick Lamar "Control" Verse

None of those rappers except 2pac called out an entire region of rappers. Plus biggie and pac are eventually shot over the "beef". The new generation won't, they're way smarter than that. Kendrick created competition in the sense that he's already a well respected lyricist, and if he wasn't no-one would pay this any attention. But he is and he knows people will listen to what he has to say so he used that to create controversy. In a good way. He brought out the best of these new rappers trying to prove to their fans that they can even keep up.

There are honestly too many tracks to list just pick out any song involving West Coast vs East Coast, Bad Boy vs Death Row, Death Row vs Ruthless Records ect ect. There are tons of songs involving a rapper calling out group of other rappers.

Oh, Kendrick Lamar called out a bunch of New York rappers, awesome. Can't believe no one thought of that before

I'm not saying the dude ain't talented, he is. But all you people hyping him as some genius who invented competition between rappers are just spreading this fake hype bullshit.

This thread is thoroughly depressing.

It sounds like a bunch of 35+ y.o. white dudes arguing over a genre they know nothing about and can't relate to in the slightest.

I like how most of the rappers that are responding to him are dudes that he didn't name in the first place. B.O.B, Lupe, and some other low key rappers are taking it to heart when they aren't called out specifically. Although their responses arent bad, it shows how much shit he just stirred up.

I don't know if he can name himself in the same league as Nas, Jay and Em yet.

Fuck me, everyone who uses the word "Music" in correlation with the "Rap" genre is a fucking retard. This is not "Music", this is a cultural phenomenon...a kind of "Street Theatre". It's NOT fucking "Music". It's a Rip-off front to back. SO FUCK YOU.

But the funniest (and stupidest thing) I read here is this:

If I reddit in TMZ, it's gotta be da word, lolz. :hitit_sml:

Have you even looked up the definition? And no, your emotions aren't definitions.

Rap&hip-hop are universal in nature. Same as rock music. Your point is invalid.

You know shit is going downhill when people confuse rap with marketing skills, pure rap is like brother lynch, andre nickatina, rappin 4 tay , bay rappers and many other's, Kendrick lamar = lol

c'mon guys, let's not pretend Eminem isn't the most brilliant of all time. I know it's not cool to like him anymore but that doesn't change the facts. I might go bleach my hair right now.
