Keyword grouping software?

Does anyone know of a good program the will group 1000's of kw's and put them into adgroups?

I've been using Adwords Editior from google but it just doesn't do the job?

How to do you guys create adgroups of 20-30 kw's if you have over 10,000 kws?
 


yea I'm wondering the same. I heard a program called keyword companion does this ($250) but the software hasn't been updated in months.
 
Yeah Keyword Companion does this fairly well but the support absolutely SUCKS as in it's nonexistent. I'd stay far away from it. When I get some time I plan to write something myself.
 
Yeah like I just said the software works fairly well. If you're comfortable that you'll never need support or want a refund, go plunk down your $250.
 
I am still a big fan of cut and paste with filtering options in excel. I have used KeywordCompanion and find it to be a good tool, but I am just as efficient with excel. This is with keyword list in the 2000-3000 range.
 
I've been playing around with adwords editor and am getting good results with it. With a 3k+ keyword list, it'll let it do its initial group of grouping. After that I'll manual edit the groups. For instance if "payday loans" has 400 keywords, then I'll go back to the generate common words screen.


payday loans has 400 words and I'll eyeball the keywords in the groups and see if I can notice any patterns.
advanced payday loans - 30 words
fast payday loans -25
payday loans instantly -30 words

but I just keep doing this back and forth, eventually I'll break the 3k list into many tight, 30 word keyword groups.
 
I am in the same situation and am thinking about making a basic MS Access database to do this. Unlike Excel, you can easily filter sort and query.
