Got out of trouble and a big big problem lately.
Don't have an update for work samples as of the moment coz clients didn't want their pages posted.
To everyone if you think your projects will be delayed or was not delivered on time, just ask for a refund or file a dispute asap. Don't ask for a refund after a preview of your project was shown you know it was late and you still waited for the preview then ask a refund? Even though i said i will work on your revisions until you are happy and work on it NOW i can't argue if you wanted the refund because it was really late but i already created a preview that i spent my time on. Also weekends are not counted on the days i quote projects. If i said 1 week (7 days) excluding weekends although i usually work on weekends i didn't have my full time to work on any projects.
I am available for a few more orders. Landing pages usually takes 1 week, banners, ecovers usually within 24hours.

Kickass is from the Philippines. I'm a US expat living in Hong Kong, and there are *many* Filipinos working in the, er, service industries. Smile on their faces always, but in my experience will screw you over in a heartbeat if they think they can get away with it, ever maintaining that dumb grin that makes you think you're the insane one for even thinking they might. I was exchanging money in Wanchai at a Filipino place (most of it is Filipino cuz its dodgy as hell) and got ripped off to my face... if I didn't make them recount every single penny I would have lost about 15% of the transaction. Three smiling Filipinos, including a middle-aged gentleman with glasses who reminded me of a Filipino Mr. Rogers. On the surface the nicest people you could possibly meet. Total scumbags, and wolves in sheep's clothing. When I figured out what they had done to try and mentally trick me into miscounting my money I almost threw a computer at one of them -- it doubled as an internet cafe where who knows how many scams they were running with the info their users inputted.
Bottom line, don't give her the benefit of the doubt. The fact that so many people in the thread have had bad experiences, well, if you pay money up front then you're a dumbass. Great, reliable designers are cheap and available here. And from what I've seen, her creativity is not competitive, she just adds text. Eek. And 25$ for a logo on here is the upper end of the market.

Won't accept anymore orders, replied to everyone who asked for contact details. Philippines has just been hit by a strong typhoon and our province is slightly affected, flood and heavy rains is still on going.

Racist? Racism implies a difference between the races, which is well-documented. You can remain in liberal lala land for eternity for all I care... its soul-destroying though, I lived there for decades, I should know.
Do you dispute the veracity of any of my claims? When you spend time outside the US you realize that people elsewhere are much more upfront about race, and they recognize that while it's never justified to judge an individual based on a stereotype, stereotypes do exist for a reason. It's only in the US that we're terribly afraid of offending someone, and box ourselves into mental walls.

I can pick up the slack if you guys want to give me a try. I have been developing websites and web applications for the last 11 years for big corporate and have just recently launched my own company. I can do LP, Facebook Fanpages, logos, etc...

To be honest I really havn't read this thread in its entirety.
I wanted to chime in and say that I have given this provider thousands (possibly more) of dollars in fees paid for graphic design, and website design and there has never been an issue. great communication, excellent work, and a great attitude. he makes everything a priority also.
anyone who says that he coaxed me into saying this or whatever can fuck off - if any of you really want to make it IRL (not sitting behind your computer) in this business you are going to have to deal with the fact that not everyone is WHITE and that there are alot of people from the Phillipines and India. Its not nice to make fun of people for the way you talk. Imagine if you lived in a country that was poor and you started to communicate with a more prosperous country and were constantly mocked for the way you talked?
