Just saw on Ten News that Kevin Rudd is going to have a ballot tomorrow for his leadership. Apparently Gillard is contesting it and if she wins she would become the first female prime minister....

Not sure it's a bad thing... Rudd will look like a cunt if he tries to backtrack from some of the policies that are wiping out his support. If Gillard steps in a does it it will look like a fresh and decisive new leader. She's also a leftie which probably means she'll tell Conroy which orifice to ram his internet filter in and how hard to fuck himself with his proposal to record all our browser histories.

I was on the verge on of a once in a lifetime liberal vote but I couldn't bring myself to vote for that Abbot twat so I'm glad there's an alternative... I think there's a lot of people thinking the same... Labour will win the election if they do this, if they don't it's anyone's guess...

I think sen. Penny Wong would make the awesomest PM in history but I'm not sure our parochial voters are quite ready for an Asian lesbian PM...

Took me a moment to figure out which country was being talked about. There's not too many that an american would know of that has prime ministers. (lets see there's Canada, Britain, Australia... um... eh, lemme open up wikipedia.)

If Turnbull was still with the Liberal party (read: Whiped out howards DOUCHEBAG chronies on the front bench, and started a forward thinking approach) I would of voted for him, in a heartbeat. /Sigh Australian politics fail
 
If it was Turnbull VS Rudd then the Libs had a shot. Gillard will crap all over Abbott though. You can count on him saying at least one gloriously stupid thing on the way to the election.

I can see her being a very popular PM.
 
How many people know that Gillard was born in Wales to a unionist father? She is nothing more than a union puppet, Krudd wouldn't play teh game so the union power brokers put in a new leader.

Agree Turnbull was the only quality the Libs had. His outgoing interview was gold where he started telling the journo's what questions they should be asking him.

honestly the fact that she is in means we are in trouble... while what has been said on here has made me laugh and I can see everyones point... I must say that one thing is for sure... Internet Filter will still come through if she is in... people forget she was the deputy pm so she had just as much involvement as she did in the past as she does now... esp with the slimmy little bitch swan... I think next election will be based on who has the best sales pitch... oh btw I must plug the new federal political party... if you have not heard of them they are called "The Australian Sex Party..." Awesome group of people and would make a big difference if they ever had a shot at running the joint....

That's what everyone says... but you didn't vote for Rudd either, you voted for LABOR, specifically your local labor politician.

I don't really give a fuck anymore it's all the same bullshit, I did like Tony Abbott's comment though "different salesman, same product".
