You can make half decent pulled pork on the stove. Rub it down with your spices of choice, then throw it in your biggest pot and cover it with root beer. Throw in some garlic and onion and let it simmer for 5-6 hours.

Not as good as using a smoker, but a lot easier during the winter!
 
It got a little hot after putting some lump charcoal on around 6AM, it jumped up around 300 for awhile. The bark always comes out pretty dark with this recipe so it was nothing new for my cooks, no one ever complains =).
