I also have a lot of good buddies that build their own rock crawlers...

You know, tube steel, a big V8, big ass axles and 40+ inch tires... Not much else..

While those are under the knife (being worked on for repairs) nearly every single one of those buddies drives a jeep cherokee... They are cheap as all fuck, 4wd, they have the amazing I6 jeep motor, they'll run FOREVER motor-wise, easy to work on, and with a little bit of tire and suspension work, they will do fucking ANYTHING! (I mean seriously, I've almost shit myself in the passenger seat thinking "THIS IS IT! MY FIRST ROLL OVER!" and it never came... You could climb a fucking wall with one of those things...

Anything before like 1999 or 2000 should be good...

Also, +1 for 4runners and Troopers...

I know a guy that makes a living from servicing these pieces of crap. He says they are absolutely the biggest money pits you can buy.
