Laptop and battery life

What? They regularly get great reviews and have some of the lowest failure rates in the industry (even beating Apple at one time). Everyone I've ever known who's owned one, loved it.

HP regularly gets generally positive reviews as well, but I genuinely expect a huge portion of their consumer-grade laptops to literally fall apart within six months of purchase.

I was also speaking in relative terms--maybe Asus makes better machines than anything you could get from Wal-Mart, and that's good enough for most people... but if something by Company X, Y, or Z shits all over Asus machines at the same price point, my statements might still be true, even if a lot of people like Asus's products. Regardless, if you're happy with Asus, then you're happy with Asus, and what I say doesn't matter.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or talk out of my ass for no reason, I was just trying to explain what I believe based on my own personal experience, which I assume is more extensive than most people here because of what I do for a living outside of my Internet stuff. Having to deal with large numbers of a certain model makes it easier to get a more-accurate picture of potential problems, general quality, etc.

Asus laptops are shit, the readers reviews on newegg are horrible if you filter the nubs. Shitty track pads, letters missing as you type, ect.

MSI, Toshiba are two of the best.
