Leno getting 11:30PM timeslot back... Conan shoved back to midnight

Conan is the true king of late night, and I'm a huge fan. I sure hope this doesn't affect the show much at all but sadly probably means some downsizing.

Leno is better than Conan imo. They need to get rid of damn Andy Richter ASAP, too. Can we all agree at least that Letterman is horribly unfunny as of the past couple years?

I go back and watch Johnny Carson clips sometimes, those can be pretty great.
 


Conan is a comedic genius. He graduated from Harvard magna cum laude and went on to write for SNL and the Simpsons. I don't know why they latch on to Leno, other than the fact that he once had good ratings.

The only thing that Conan has going against him, is that large hairdo looks a bit creepier every year as he gets older.
 
interesting i din't think that many people here watched these kinds of shows. Personally i don't like either. Plus late night talk shows suck anyway you might as well watch oprah and ellen while your at it.
 
All a matter of personal taste of course. For me, Letterman was never funny. His sidekick is incredibly annoying (that bald fuck, I forget his name) and the rest was a snooze-fest. Never understood why his show gained popularity.

Leno: Moderately funny at times. He had pretty good monologue joke writers for the show, but Leno himself lacks that spontanenous comedic talent Conan always has. And he too had a pretty annoying sidekick, the guitar player Kevin (isn't that his name?) who laughed fake at every "joke" no matter how funny/unfunny.

Conan: A comedic genius. Yes, I do realize he too relies on writers for the core of things like his monologue, but what makes him so great is his ability to be spontaneous and improvise on the fly. And he is at his best during interviews where he always connects real well with the guest and makes them laugh - even if they sometimes have the most boring personalities. Conan always manages to break out the laughs by improv and wit. That's something Leno and Letterman has always lacked.
And btw - I love Andy Richter too, and was thrilled when I heard he came back to the show. He is an awesome and funny sidekick, and so is Max and LaBamba if you can call them that. It's a winning combo in my opinion but then again - comedy is very subjective to each and every one of us.

Ever since I saw Conan do the civil war reenactment with hamsters I was hooked. Better yet the next day when he said "no hamsters were harmed now leave me alone hamster people".

I always felt Leno to be bigger on political jokes, which was probably why he has been given the prime time spot all this time.
 
I read somewhere that if they bump Conan they contractually have to pay him something like 50 million. Sounds like either way he wins.

Leno is not funny at all. Saw him live here in Dallas at a charity fundraiser and he sucks. He sure figured out how to make a shit ton of money at sucking though, so props to him for that.
 
Conan back in the day with Andy Richter was one of my favorite shows of all time. After Andy left, the show wasnt the same anymore, and it's great to see them together.

Fuck Leno. Dude has never and will never be funny. Dude needs to retire already.
 
I like them all with Kimmel being my favorite.

Why aren't they trying to rework the Leno show instead of this mess they're making? Get rid of the driving shit, earn your plug and bring back more guests/show all with Jay back behind a desk. Also throw in a 2 minute news lead in at 10:50pm. Fuck NBC is full of retards for not trying something different.
