Neutralizing the threat, yes. The threat is Hamas, not children.

Ground incursion would be much better and it's been suggested by many military specialists overseas. Sure more Israeli soldiers might die, but that's the price to pay for being a soldier. Children didn't sign up for the military.

The people can't travel anywhere? Not exactly true as many have survived the warnings and bombs. What is very true is people are being told to stay in their homes by the very people who should be protecting them.

Maybe the reason they are calling ahead is to try to destroy the arms caches, which explains why they don't give hours of notice otherwise its too easy to move the weapons.

They also do a knock on the roof to evacuate civilians too (who may not believe they will attack a civilian building) whats the purpose of doing this?

I know their charter, the point I'm making is that kind of extremism is born out of frustration and decades of conflict. Hamas was established in 1987, it is a symptom of the greater problem.
