paypal problems with merchant

i tried to purchase upgrade but looks like paypal has him banned... let me know when its all working again please...

LINK RACER PROSPECTS AND CUSTOMERS READ THIS !!! It is VERY LIKELY LINKRACER IS A FRAUD !!!!!! (part 1/2)

There is a lot of evidence pointing in that direction...

Summary of the evidence:

- MOST IMPORTANT EVIDENCE TO CONSIDER: Mountainmotorman's real name is Brian Prins. Brian Prins has been exposed in the past as a fraud with his "Cheap Prison Calls" Business.

- There is no transparency regarding the formal/legal structure of Link Racer. What kind of a business is it exactly? I spent yesterday the whole day doing research on Brian Prins and his activities. I could not find any legal information regarding his business.

- He got banned from PayPal and that's why he installed his own payment system. I suspect that he used PayPal as an individual and not as a company. And as you know, when using PayPal as an individual there's an annual transactions limit. I think he hit that limit with Link Racer and that's why he installed his own payment system. But I can't prove this, so it's just a hypothesis based on the other shady things that are going on.

- There are a lot of customers, including myself, complaining about the articles not getting propagated. Brian sais they DO get propagated. Only the "propagation counter" in the user interface is broken. I'm sure they DO NOT GET propagated, because I don't receive any google alerts, nor Wordpress trackbacks anymore for more than a week. Before that I received alerts and trackbacks on a regular basis.

-I sent him a testimonial in which I CLEARLY stated I want to stay anonymous. He published a "modified" DECEPTIVE VERSION (I DID NOT GET THE RESULTS HE'S SAYING) on his website WITH MY NAME UNDER IT!!!! So he violated my privacy in a DECEPTIVE testimonial to attract customers for a service which is not working!!!!! I sonsider that being a very serious infringement.

(Part 2/2)
The evidence in detail:

1. Mountainmotorman is Brian Prins.

OK- It is OFFICIAL- I am BACK! - www.Promodzone.com (Check out the signatures)

I've included a picture in case he decides to erase his traces: http://img532.yfrog.com/img532/2047/...inmotorman.jpg

::: Drag Racing Online ::: Same Day Coverage - Bradenton - 1/24/07 (Control F --> Brian Prins --> result: " Brian Prins of Berlin, NJ," in his aweber newsletters he's located in Berlin, NJ. And all of his other businesses are also located in Berlin, NJ)

2. Brian Prins was involved in fraudulent businesses in the past

He scammed people and EVEN STOLE MONEY FROM THEIR CREDIT CARDS !!!!

"Brian Prins has opened up shop again under the name Jail Calls. While I am working up a full report with all of the details, I feel that I would be at least partially complicit if anyone was scammed/taken advantage of due to me waiting even a day longer to release at least part of the information we have been receiving and investigating..."
You see? Mountainmotorman's signature in Promodzone? Jaill Calls? Brian Prins?

3. He violated my privacy policy in a deceptive testimonial

Here are parts of my original testimonial.

Hello Brian or Chris,

here's the testimonial as promised. PLEASE KEEP IT ANONYMOUS !!!!!

I've explained in the testimonial WHY I want to stay anonymous...

I could not believe it ! For one of my long tail keywords I own 5 spots on the first page of Google !!!! Yes !!!! That's correct 5 spots on
the first page of Google : 4 articles on the Link Racer directories
and my main website.
I wrote "for one of my long tail keywords". He made it into "I'm dominating five spots on the first page of Google for one of my most profitable keywords!"

Tssssst...What can I say? I'm so pissed off... And that's why I'm motivated to put all that work into this research.

Here's the support ticket I sent him last saturday. Still got no answer.

Hi,

I sent you two testimonials. In both of them I state explicitly I want to stay anonymous.

In the first one, your questionnaire, by checking the "staying anonymous" box.

In my second one, the spontaneous testimonial, I wrote it even more explicitly multiple times.

And now suddenly a "modified" testimonial with my name under it apprears on the front page of your website.

You know very well what I mean by MODIFIED!!!!

And you know even better I WANTED EXPLICITLY TO STAY ANONYMOUS!

I consider that a serious violation of my privacy

and more important of MY TRUST.

Because of that, I ask you to:

1. Remove that testimonial IMMEDIATELY!

2. CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP IMMEDIATELY!

3. REMOVE ALL MY ARTICLES FROM YOUR NETWORK IMMEDIATELY!

If expect those 3 requests to be fulfilled by next monday may 10 at 20h GMT+1.

If they are not met by then:

1. I'll start a massive anti LinkRacer marketing campaign, by exposing the privacy violation, the intentional and deceptive "modification" of my testimonial AND the malfunctioning of your article propagation system, your core business.

The articles ARE NOT getting propagated. Another violation of my trust. And more important, you're not delivering the goods to your customers.

How do I know they're not getting propagated? By means of my different backlink checking tools.

And as it seems I'm not the only one. Other people are complaining of the same on the Warriorforum.

I will run the anti Linkracer marketing campaign starting in the Warrioforum.

Then I'll Google you, whois you and analyze your e-mails thoroughly. Based on as much information I can extract from those sources, I'll follow your traces on the internet and warn your followers, potential new customers and all your partners of your lack of professionalism, trustworthyness and possibly your BAD intentions.

2.I'll take legal action.

In a nutshell, you're violating my privacy policy by disclosing my identity in a deceptive testimonial to attract customers for a SERVICE WHICH IS NOT DELIVERING!

That's why I want my name to dissapear completely from your website. Remove my name from the testimonial and remove the testimonial itself. I FORBID you to post any testimonial from me, nor my name, in the future.

I want my membership to linkracer cancelled and all my articles removed from all your directories.

All those requests need to be met by next monday may may 10 at 20h GMT+1.

Thank you for your understanding

Conclusion? If you're a Link Racer customer, you've probably been SCAMMED! If you're not a Link Racer customer, then stay away as far as possible!!!!!

What I suggest is we, Link Racer customers, organize ourselves collectively to limit the current damages, to protect ourselves from getting more screwed and to avoid that Brian makes new victims!

What do you think? What are your experiences with Link Racer or with Brian's other services?

Thanks for your attention! I hope this will prevent a lot of people making the same mistake I made.

Awesome if you're just a reader. Not so awesome if you're a customer.

I posted the second part of my arguments (just after the first part), the best part actually, with aaallll the info in detail, but it's gone...

How come? It contained many links. Could that be the cause?

Anyhow, if you're interested in the drama, you can find everyting in another forum with the same initials as this one. Just type Link Racer in the search box overthere and you'll find everyting you need to know...

And I can tell you, it smells baaaaaadddd, really baaaaddddd!!!!

For Link Racer and Brian Prins, I cannot help but recall the Albert Einstein definition of insanity: “Insanity is continuing to do the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results”. LinkRacer has continued to fail at what they say they will do, and within the past few days have made a lengthy post all over the internet saying that while it is true that most of their sites have been de-indexed by Google, they are going to continue doing the same thing and provide different results. Can you see now why I remembered the Einstein insanity quote? For those of you who want more details, here is my personal experience summary. I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but the proverbial "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true" appears to be the perfect characterization of LinkRacer. I joined in early May and started posting articles right away. Nothing shows up in Google indexing after several weeks, which as most of you already know is a likely indicator that the sites have been de-indexed by Google. Finally on May 26 the apparent owner of the service (Brian Prins) admitted this in response to concerns expressed by myself and others. No matter what question I have raised, there has been a different excuse to explain the situation (and it turns out that the excuses were all manufactured lies to mask the real underlying problem, namely that over 2500 of their sites were in fact de-indexed by Google!) Being a flexible business owner who understands that things can go wrong, I informed the owner that a refund was in order because in fact no links were being published (other than on de-indexed sites) and that I would consider joining again after the problems were worked out, assuming that he provided a timely refund. No such luck! On their site , here is the promise: "Here at Link Racer, customer satisfaction is our number one priority. If you don't get your links - you don't pay." But, and this is a big but, in reality the owner has attempted to make it impossible to qualify for a refund as follows: "There is a no refund policy in effect on the services provided by LinkRacer.com. This means there are absolutely no refunds given to customers who purchase services from LinkRacer.com. You are agreeing to the fact that what you are purchasing is a service and non tangible." So, regardless of whether you get what is (supposedly) offered or not, you will not receive a refund. I believe the owner's response might speak for itself in hopefully letting folks know that this is not an ethical and businesslike operation: "No refunds for services have been rendered. Please read the Terms of Service again. Your articles are still being drip feed and will be done on June 7th so, stop acting foolish and realize that is over a week away and things do not happen over night because you want them too... You will receive what you paid for and that is the last I am going to write about because, it seems your very hostile. Do as you threaten... You do not know what I am providing for free--- It is not what you paid for and thus, your foot is in your mouth. Your tone is not friendly and services have been rendered and will continue to be. Thus, the terms of service since day one have been NO refunds as links are there and your articles are on my network. Have a great life and hope you do not think the threats worry me. I have not done ANY criminal or civil wrong doing. Learn the law after 8 years of schooling.…" ----- Does this really sound like someone that any one of you would choose to do business with? In any case, if you are going to do business with Link Racer from this point forward, you will have what I hope are some helpful insights about how (1) they do not provide what they offer (how about nothing?) and (2) when you call them out for not doing what they are supposed to be doing, you will be accused of being "hostile and not friendly". If ever there were a “buyer beware!” moment, this is it. By the way, I make my living advising business owners about a whole series of issues that frequently involve being candid and telling people things that they would probably rather not hear. The truth often hurts, especially if it involves substituting a more difficult and time-consuming activity for a relatively easy approach to something (even if the easy approach is not getting desired results). I can only hope that the time and effort that I took to share my LinkRacer experiences will have a positive impact for some of you by giving you sufficient reason to stop (or not even start) the easy but ineffective approach offered by Link Racer and Brian Prins.

I'm not even going to attempt to read this fucking wall of text. Try some paragraphs next time.

I am sorry for not breaking up my long explanation shown above into a series of shorter paragraphs. I will certainly do better with this comment and can only suggest that anyone interested in more LinkRacer details look at my longer post.

I did cancel my Link Racer account and ask for a refund based on Brian Prins not providing what he continues to promote. But, silly me, he does not provide refunds no matter what. As an extra bonus, he will then continue to charge you even after you cancel the LinkRacer account.

Because I had seen reports on this forum and elsewhere that he charges customers even after they stop his service, I sent him an additional support ticket to make sure that my LinkRacer account was canceled and that no further charges would occur. He sent his traditional rude response on May 30: "Yeah your canceled already. Why do you need to send it twice???"

Despite such a precaution, that is exactly what he did today [June 7], more charges for a service that was ended! Everyone can have their own opinion, but it is my conclusion that such behavior by any internet merchant will get them banned by PayPal and other credit card processing services.

From various reports, it appears that PayPal already did so some time ago, and Visa and Mastercard are probably the next to take action. But if they do not, anyone about to cancel their LinkRacer services with Brian Prins will need to be prepared to cancel the bank card number you used to sign up for his service.
