I know it's kinda against the terms, but I haven't been banned yet.

My question is how long/how many answers can you make per day with a link without getting banned? I see retards spamming those offer sites like CashCrate and they don't seem to get banned...

And, is Yahoo Answers actually a decent way to promote? I know it's not the best, but do you think it's worth the time?

There's a limit on how many postings you can make in one day, or someshit like that.. but it's worth it if you're about that hustle. Give them the answer to their question in a solution format w/out being fake with it. It works, just gotta hustle and do as many QUALITY answers as much as you can. G$H

Quality answers is the key here.
If your answers have quality, Y!Answers members won't report your answer and so you will never come under their radar.
In fact, Y! T&C allows people to insert a link into the answer, but only if it helps or something like that. Morever, the number of live links you can post is dependant on your 'level' . It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly, new members (who are at the lowest level) are allowed to post around 30 answers per day, after which you should get a "Down for maintenance" or a "there was an error" message.

What I would suggest is making sure the content on the page you are linking to is directly related with their answer. And not "make money online" for someone searching how to get a loan for $800...
Give them advice on repaying the loan- how important it is or something. Then use the source box to link to a page on your site describing how important it is to repay a "payday" loan so you don't run into credit problems, etc. The link itself is no-follow, but you can still "feature" a loan provider and try to monetize the traffic.
