There was some talk on TV last night that Earvin Johnson ("Magic") might buy the team for $1B.
He's not only a racist, he's a bad businessman talking smack about his players and many of his customers who pay to see them.

Call me old fashioned but I think a man should be able to talk shit about minorities in the privacy of his own home.
This incident is equivalent to a politician speaking candidly about what he really believes because he doesn't know the microphone is still on.

Can you imagine Magic, who is "friends" with this gold digger and who was mentioned in the rant, financially benefiting from the forced sale of the team that he helped initiate? Too convenient not to be investigated.
Don't forget that taxpayers pay to construct (and sometimes even maintain) your largest individual asset as well - the stadium.

It is used outside of it, but nothing like Spain; Latin Americans when imitating spaniars will use the coño and ostia curse words since they are so typical of how Spaniards are viewed as speaking, like Americans saying 'aboot' to imitate Canadians.

As to the issue at hand... What a crock of shit. How can he get a lifetime ban from an asset he owns? He didn't even say the "n word". He got baited into the whole conversation. You can hear in his voice how uncomfortable he was with the topic even knowing he was in the privacy of his own home. Was it incensitive? For sure. But was it worse than 90% of the trash talk on the court? Unlikely.
The nba was way outa line and should be boycotted. Maybe a fine or a suspension. The good news is there is no way the owners will push him out. They will let it blow over.
A sports team is a franchise, so it's not quite the same as owning your own business. Much of the value of the LA Clippers comes from it's being part of the NBA, and all the free marketing that comes with that.
I'd be surprised if he wasn't forced out. Marge Schott was forced out of owning the Reds for similar reasons. Different league, but there is some precedent.

This guy came from an old generation that will never change until they all die off. He has has a ton of $$$, background in law, and will drag this whole thing through the legal system because he can and doesn't give a shit what anybody thinks.
