I currently run a website that I am interested in turning into a social community.
I've looked into Dolphin, Ning, Elgg and SocialEngine among others but I'm worried that my lack of knowledge in programming will prevent me from creating the website to my satisfaction.
I think I'm leaning towards SocialEngine but if anyone has any opinions or suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
I don't want to discuss my idea very much on public forums but I'm not going to be competing against Facebook or a dating site, I'm just trying to create a community where their currently is a big following. If you are interested and are familiar with this and can build the website, please let me know.
