Our development process involves consulting with customers to pick a base theme from our collection or other wp theme marketplaces. From there we'll have a designer customize the look and feel of the theme PSD to fit the customers vision. Depending on their order, this may only involves simple widget updates, or other times its more involved and requires rewriting theme code - the goal being to maintain the theme's shortcode functions while updating the look and feel of the design..
We almost exclusively deal with themes that are responsive and require the delivered theme to be as well. We also recommend our developers build child themes so we can ensure consistency while updating base themes.
Ideally I'd like to hand you the revised PSD file, original PSD, original theme files, and a deposit. You would be responsible for communicating as needed for any delays, and deliver a fully responsive wp child theme that matches the revised PSD while maintaining theme functionality.
