Looks Like Popeye finally made it to NYC...

i dont see how a Peace could ever be achieved to be honest peace is in fairy tails - the realty is who ever got the bigger stick!
hard to imagine it would ever change.

This is why WE must have the bigger stick and a stealth one at that.

P.S. I should have known by the way this guy looks he was a liberal. I mean what respectable conservative would run around looking like an overweight Stewart Pratt.

Where are you getting that this is a liberal group? I looked at their site, didn't see anything to point one way or another.

These threads are getting kind of sad.

And subigo's stalkerish obsession with the Hannity forums and conservatives in general is fairly disturbing. You get the impression he's sitting in the dark somewhere furiously masterbating to the Hannity threads, his sallow complexion dimly lit by the glow of the computer monitor as he creepily cackles to himself.

You had to go with Pedophiles? After everything the Roman Catholic Church has been through? There are a million other options there.

Alright - Muslims and Catholics support pedophiles. Better?

It's not even about propaganda.

Whenever a white man gets attacked by a minority, the conservatives point at the nigger/minority/immigrant as a symbol of non-whites brining crime to the area. Whenever a white man attacks a minority, "Oh the minority had it coming", "So what?", etc.

It's all but saying white people are separate and better.

Actually, whenever a minority gets attacked by a white man it's a hate crime, but whenever a white person is attacked by a minority it's a socioeconomic issue.

Not defending this guy, he's a nut and will get what he deserves. But you obviously have a "special" (as in short bus kind of special) take on race related issues.

Considering how little you know about how difficult it is to prove a crime was a hate crime, you should consider applying that label to yourself.

Or do some reading up on the process of proving a hate crime instead of spewing bullshit.

That took about 2 minutes.

  • 72.9 percent were victims of an offender’s anti-black bias.
  • 16.8 percent were victims because of an anti-white bias.

Although I did learn that white people are only 3 times more likely to be charged with a hate crime, than black people so I was a bit surprised. I would have guessed it was closer to 10 to 1.

I actually think the definition of "hate crime" is a bad thing.

This is so vague that any statistics will be meaningless.

Those statistics show the legal process of proving a hate crime?

I think this is your cue, bud.

No they show the built in bias toward who gets charged with a hate crime. The whole idea of a hate crime is ridiculous though - a crime is a crime and should be treated as such. Trying to figure out what somebody was thinking when they committed it is unrealistic and counter-productive.

What bias?

What bias?

There is an assumption that if a white person attacks a minority, that it was because the person was a minority. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that sometimes a crime isn't racially motivated, even if it is an evil white man committing it. However, if a minority commits a crime against a white person, the first assumption is that there are "deeper sociological issues" that caused it, rather than maybe the perpetrator was just a racist piece of shit. The numbers from the FBI seem to confirm those biases.

Perhaps the fact that I grew up on the east side of Detroit has allowed me to see some realities you may not be privy to. No big deal, we all have different opinions based on our perceptions. In my neighborhood, most of the "hate crimes" were perpetrated by blacks, against whites (and a few asians). Had I grown up in Alabama in the 60's I'm sure I'd have a different take on things, or if I'd grown up in the suburbs and only had the media to shape my experiences, I'd probably have a different take on things too. I spent the first 20 years of my life as a "minority", with all of the fun that goes along with that, and none of the legal protections that exist for everyone else, so I'm basing my opinions on reality, not some shit I saw on TV or something I read in some bullshit magazine.

This makes sense and you're right, we all form our own opinions based on our own paradigms.

I think your experience, though, is still a minority (both pun and irony noted) and it annoys me when middle class suburbia white folks jump on the "A black man doesn't like me THAT'S RACIST" bandwagon. When most of these folks "real world experience" probably comes from what they see on fox news.

I think the whole concept of a hate crime is a bad thing. A crime is a crime. Who cares if someone commits murder in cold blood for money vs. their skin color. Or someone beats the shit out of someone because they are gay vs. whatever. The end result is the same. What motivated the person to do it in the first place, should have nothing to do with the punishment. First Degree Murder == First Degree Murder. They aren't any more dead because someone hates homosexuals, members of a certain race / religion etc.
