This kid Lupe Fiasco really is amazing. Face it, rap has sucked ass for a while now. We get bullshit like Laffy Taffy and Crank dat Souljah boi on the radio. Probably not a lot of rap fans on WF but I thought I'd share since this is a big step forward for an otherwise uninspiring genre of music.

I've been sick of hiphop for a long time now because of all the absolute stupidity. I hate it when black people keep themselves down, and most popular hiphop seems to do that.

Lupe Fiasco is an exception because he has a LOT of wisdom in his lyrics and he hasn't sold out like 99% of all rappers out there.

Most young black people don't realize that when they listen to lyrics that talk about living in the ghetto/hood and pimpin and cars and bitches etc. that they are dumbing themselves down and they're going to keep themselves right there in the hood.

I don't know if Lupe is finally making "smart" look cool or not ("smart" is still referred to as "acting white") but he's definitely a positive influence.

Lupe, Kenya or common..they are the same...
