Mad Men is Back!

I think I'm done with this show. I wasted far too much time watching that boring POS today. I identify with nobody, like nobody, am attracted to nobody, saw little advertising stuff, and laughed like 3 times total.

Maybe I've changed, but I don't think I have room in my life for it anymore. Mad Men, you're fired

I'm kinda with Berto here, though I will probably end up watching it anyway.

The most joy I got from the episode (apart from Dons fine ass wife) is Rogers mannerisms.

I do not laught that much (3 times per episode) watching comedi tv shows :)

I did not completely understand why Don said he was embarassed at the party.

Dude, your wife doing a burlesque dance for you in front of your employees...

I'd be embarrassed and a little angry at her too.

Do not want.

I thought for sure they were gonna kill off her character after what they were building up to last week.

Yea I think they will give his storyline more focus this season. He is attracted to a specific type of woman. Plus he he seems like he is having money issues as he didn't pay his son's tuition and told his wife not to write any checks. Maybe he has some expensive bad habit?

Wow...didn't pick up on this at the time but apparently that was some important foreshadowing! I think him having to put in $50k for the line of credit cleaned him out but I still think he had some expensive habit they didn't show us...I mean how could he be that broke?? As for his exit...the Jag not starting was pretty funny though. Those things were notorious for always being in the shop.

At any rate, I'm going to Miss that stuffy Brit.

Yea, I had a feeling something was going to happen with Lane. His suicide episode was very eery. I was hoping after his car didn't start that he would give up.

It was really strange when Don talked to his wife. It was like she was pissed at giving him hope, giving him something to be excited about. I guess she was just angry that they had to move back and forth and he had to put more money into the business.

Well after rewatching a few moments of that last episode, it seems Lane had been paying for her trips back to England and his son's private schooling. I guess that's where the money went.

As for Don...he just unloaded his own personal secret to Betty and his new wife. Now he has another one he has to keep to himself.

With so much hype about this show, I watched the first 2 eps of season one. Too slow for me already, does it speed up?

Losing Lane bummed me out.

Does anyone see a big standoff between Pete and Don next season? Pete's comment at the end about having the same view as Don in the new office seemed to foreshadow that he's stepping up big time.

It's possible. I don't see how an account man would have an issue with creative though? I feel it's going to be more like Pete is turning into the old Don Draper that has an apartment in the city and will be likely to cheat on his wife.

WTF does Cooper do in the office? Like, how can he go into work every morning, 5 days a week, and do nothing? Doesn't make sense to me.

I have wondered the same fucking thing. Didn't he resign a while back?

For a moment I thought he was dead and they just imagined him/other crazy shit like that, but then they started talking with him and I was like "WTF?"
