I've used CJ in the past to promote products from merchants (buy.com type merchants). I've mainly been in the consumer product affiliate space, but see that they offer other types of promotions.

Any tips on the best way to use CJ for making money? I'd be willing to setup a website or do PPC to promote something that could be profitable. I'm just wondering what people earn the most with at CJ.

Thanks,
Grant

I would help you but i'm still learning as you can see:xmas-smiley-016:

I haven't worked really hard on any CJ offers, but the things I have tried I have had no success with. I think they let anyone who pays in, so take a good look at the merchant's landing page.

I guess I'll have to look harder. Most of the merchants I have promoted are larger merchants. I guess the big money is probably in lead generation.

Yeah that's where it is. Large merchants and leads. :xmas-smiley-016:

Anything can work.

If you promote the smaller merchants you might end up getting the "I'm sorry we've deactivated the advertiser." You won't get paid then.

Try promoting college signup or something. I get a pretty good conversion with my college website.

How hard is it to get into the leads? If I want to do PPC I suspect that I'll be going up against a lot of already large players. I assume it can be tough to work your way into the pack without loosing money via PPC.

Try to promote something which is less competitive. Then, you got more fighting chance !

CJ in my opinion is only good for 2 types of products.

Finance related leads (because the payout is so outrageously high)
and
Products (bags, watches, anything tangible)

Everything else, just go to the other networks for them, because CJ is just getting worse by the quarter.

I think Azoogle or Coreg Media is the best place for education lead offers, definitely NOT CJ.

Do you create whole websites around this type of content (education, finance, mortgage, etc) or do you simply do a landing page and try to drive traffic via PPC? I'm trying to figure out the best way to get into it. If you create a whole website with new content it will take a considerable amount of time to just get started. Too bad there's not any easy way to test the waters. It seems like your all in or nohting.

Grant- Do both, create a website around product, service etc also do landing pages and some ppc. the more shit thrown at the wall the better!

I never really tried to promote anything on CJ. They deactivated my account.. oh well heh

Same with me, then I decided to promote one of their offers so I emailed them asking to reactivate me and they never replied :/

Yep, all the finance/selling of money services stuff.
How is CJ with the ringtones? Any good? I saw dadamobile on there and heard they perform pretty well. Not sure though.
