I've got some of these that I've been using on some parasites over the years for stuff like geico.com-insurance.info . They do work ... just think of the spam that gets inboxed phishing you a paypal.com.zqfiifs.ru/paypal_login.php url. That shit's not a coincidence, it works. It also makes for a decent display url for PPC ... not great but decent.

On the other hand ... I'd NEVER send my traffic through someone else's domains so they can sniff the referrer before passing it on. MC touched on them stealing the traffic, which is possible too.

Bottom line, if you're going to do this roll your own.
 
LOL.. yep it's registered and it works. The purpose is not to use the main domain, it works when you put subdomains on them.

Try sending tweets using one vs a generic link and watch the click-through increase. (Just an example)

I love when people don't use methods that work, it just makes it easier for the rest of us to make more money online using tactics such as this :).

Thats like if you are referring for a hotel. You can send a tweet with something like:

hotel.com-book.me vs tinyurl.com/abcxyzabc
