I'm opening a small network of sites all loosely based on the site broad term.

I started one site a few weeks ago and it took days for google to pick it up, index it, ect.. when I would type the domain name in for those days it wouldn't show.

I just started a new one about 4 hours ago and it's already showing up in Google for its keywords and thus-far entirely indexed.

The first mentioned site, I did a lot of stuff for. Social Bookmarking, a few forum post with a siggy, ect..

The 2nd mentioned... nothing. I just started it and have been busy adding content.

Can anyone tell me their thoughts about why this new domain would be picked up so fast?

The domain ends with an affect. Now there is another domain with the same name in Google except it ends in effect (and is no long working but it is in Google). Could this have something to do with it?

Did your 'affect' domain used to be an established site before you bought it? All I can think of is that there are a bunch of existing links pointing to it and now that it's back up Google is more than happy to crawl to them. (Does your 404 page have links to the rest of the site?)
