Apparently lions are very huggable.

Those guys are playing with fire. It's only a matter of time before they catch one on a bad day and get shredded up. Living and working around wild animals is one thing, but close contact like that should really never happen.

I actually saw the documentary with this guy and his lions it was really good, in one part he took a couple of one of his lioness's pups to have a health check up and she was PISSED and wanted to rip him apart, the next couple of days past she forgave him and they were playing together.

I don't think this guy will ever get hurt by his lions, he knows what he's doing, and it's not like he just went into the wild and took some adult lions he has raised them all from pups.

Lions attack people? NO WAY.... way to ruin a hug thread :P The otter vid somewhat makes up for it though.
 
The original video with the huge lions piling around the guy in a snuggle ring is what it's like when you have five cats like I do. Only mine is on a much smaller scale.

Even so since our cats aren't declawed (I'd never do that to a poor kitty - it's the equivalent of having your fingers cut off down to the first knuckle when you declaw a cat)....they can really wollop you with their claws when all they mean to do is to play.

The other morning I woke up and my big brute of an orange tabby, the fattest, sweetest dude, was all like 'Hey, get up, man," and he touched me in the face and the next thing you know I was dripping blood from my lip. Didn't mean it, he doesn't know his own strength.

I'll stick to managing the mini lions at my house - but gotta admire the guys who do the big kitties.
