I've got a friend who uses Market Samurai and he says they've gotten rid of "URL Competition Data". He teaches people to fish, rather than trolls the water for them like I do.

Are their any comparable programs that will do this?

P.S. I hate fucking samurai for this reason, but I didn't know the answer so I thought I'd ask here. Doing InUrl: operators is not an option for the retards he works with.

ditto with what Otis said just saw the email fro them. If its due to a G update it'd be interesting to see if other tools cut their similar function out to.

Saying that they are proposing using Bing to get the data as opposed to G, will it be comparable? Prob not though the rough figures do seem to marry at times.

Market Samurai is just really f****** slow lately if you ask me...!
The SEO Competition section takes ages to load! I really like the free google keyword tool the most

I hope they fix the program. I love it and I wanted to do some keyword research yesterday but couldn't because a lot of the fields returned empty from no data being returned. :(

HJust hire somebody to get the keywords for you.. This guys know what they are doing and will do everything to get their keyword business running.. SO I think If you would ask that question, order once from a Keyword specialist then ask him what software are they using. They will give you the informaiton. As simple as that and it will only cost you around $5-$7 and you'll get 100's of Keywords..

Hope that helps,

Eh... market samurai, yet another program just hyped to hell and back.
No. Not sure where you get that idea from. It was very good and arguably the best for whittling down large keyword lists. It's still quite useful.
What do you expect when Google keeps making changes to make getting their data more difficult?

My only consistent complaint with MS is the speed...everything else seems to get updated and fixed...and updates are frequent.

@enigmabomb, MNF gives a vague red, yellow, or green as a measure of competition without a clear idea of the numbers generating their result, so I have not trusted this as much. It is a better tool for generating keywords, but not analysis IMO.

EDIT: @enigmabomb

Please don't drink and post in the future. You'll only wind up passed out in a puddle of urine from people taking advantage of you while you were unconscious.

Berto's not wanting keywords, he has keywords. He's wanting to bulk research them so he can compare and sort in Excel.

MS isn't that good at generating new keywords since it requires you to make a new keyword profile for every one you want to grab new ideas from. That's why people use a Wonderwheel scraper to get a large list and import into MS instead to do the actual stat gathering.

Here's the blog post where they talk about it:
Noble Samurai » Good News and Bad News

Thinking about asking for a refund. Doing keyword research on large sets of keywords (ie 4000 kw's) is the whole reason why I just bought MS last week.

Now what?

The same here. I purchased MS last week, started liking it and suddenly I feel disappointed. It was a nice software but now it seems it's totally fucked up. I'll ask for a refund too

Exactly.

I get my keywords using ScrapeBox. Start with everything I know of that I want to go after, hit the WonderWheel scraper for a level, then drop that into the regular ScrapeBox keyword scraper.

4000 keywords later......
