What is with the whining? Get your asses back to work, if Google algo changes fuck you up that badly, you are doing something wrong.
 
None of my sites got hit (yet). One of my competitors got absolutely obliterated. I tracked a ton of his sites and every single one of them was wiped. I'm almost certain it was one of you gays too.

what did this latest algo change actually target? both of my money sites got f@@@ing raped :(

one site I bought link packages for, but this was months ago

the other site didnt have any link packages and, in MY oppinion the content on both sites was fine. Now sites with total shit content are ranking above me, I have no idea what is wrong with my sites, any info would be much appreciated :)

The whole "content is king" thing is a load of shit. Google doesn't award great content, they award big brands and big Adwords spenders. Saying that, they can still be gamed.

If you're a big brand you can rank a page with nothing but an image and an add to cart button. Great content doesn't mean shit to Google and won't secure rankings.

Google pushed out a Panda, Penguin, EMD and load of other "search quality" updates recently so it will take a bit of digging to figure out your ranking drop.

That's the point. The better Google is able to screw small business SEOs, the more they are able to force them into signing up with Adwords. These updates have in my opinion very little to do with search quality, but about rising Google's revenue. Otherwise obvious issues such as search results, where 5+ of the first 10 results come from exactly the same domain name would have been eliminated with two lines of code.

Not long ago, I did an onpage analysis for someone where all ten of the frontpage results for their KW were from the same domain.
