MaxBounty Turning Into Pace Lattin

holy fuck was this thread needed? Does it really take that much time out of your day to hit delete? If you don't care about certain emails then hit up your AM and ask if they can stop sending those emails.

It is pretty annoying especially when you get emails pushed to your mobile phone. I know that whenever my phone rings to let me know I received an email, 95% of the time I drop whatever I'm doing to read the email. It could be anything from the offer being deactivated, my server going down etc; important shit. I hate when I check my email awhile I'm doing something to only find a network email giving out $5 prizes.

this is not fucking rocket science. separate emails into several lists:

1) important offer notices
2) general give us traffic bs
3) petty prize giveaways

Furnish each list with unsub buttons both in affiliate panel and in the e-mail.

Steve, still waiting for your answer why there's no unsub button. It's fine if you ignore the question, I'll hit the Spam button and encourage others here to do same.

Yeah, CAN CPAM does not appy to Canada. But regardless, I receive the emails as well. I can't say I really care for them but it really doesn't bother me. As stated previously, we all receive a bunch of emails from networks daily. My phone starts blinking consistently from about 8am on. It's whatever.

Yes CAN-SPAM does apply to a Canadian if its sent to an American. And btw, Canada passed their own version of CAN-SPAM which some consider more comprehensive.

Clearly there is an issue with these MB mailings judging by the posts....wouldn't it make good business sense for you (Steve) to do something about it?

Good point but there are people that don't want emails, period.

What I'm getting from this thread is that people don't mind getting emailed, as long as the content is relevent. There's definitely something to be learned here by MaxBounty. Maybe a newsletter that includes relevant information + fun stuff like contests would be a better approach.

Basically those contest emails are "hey check out this thing we think is funny".

Little difference between those emails and my retarded friend sending me Chuck Norris facts 10 years after I first read them cause they're "really funny".

It's like somebody coming into your house and turning on youtube to show you a video. Once in a solar eclipse there are gems like the bed intruder song but most of the time it's retarded shit like the trololol song or some guy falling off his skateboard.

Want to email me something you think is cool? Send me pictures of celebrities fucking, those I'll open.

Hit the Spam button, and others should do the same until Steve decides that putting unsub buttons in his e-mails is the right thing to do.

yup lately I'm getting such emails since Katherine Jensevics left it and here comes Adam Maltais and shit load of spammy emails. literally I don't give a fuck I don't even know wtf is happening.

yo steve imma lick yo asshole fayget
I wonder how many of the people reading this thread get the reference? :)

In any case, the community has spoken and I'm big enough to admit it when I'm wrong. So we'll be putting in a mechanism to allow affiliates to stop receiving e-mail from us. We still need to work out a few details, but it should be in place mid-next week.

To anyone who was offended by my first reply in this thread, I offer my apologies. What pissed me off most was the indirect connection to the other thread in StS brought on by the title of this thread.

The great thing about MaxBounty is that this is the biggest complaint I've ever seen about them.

When you start seeing "maxbounty owes me 5K" threads then it's time to get your flaming on.

Truth. Also, any network good enough for Teguh is good enough for all of you.

It looks like we missed telling MaxBounty happy Canada day. Do I know anything about it? No, but I assume there will be a giant cup of pudding though... As tradition.

Happy Canada Day!

I thought the emails were kind of funny and some of the prizes were unique. Hell, worst comes to worst it fucking says "Maxbounty" on all of them.. just delete it before you open it if you're really that butthurt about it.
