Hello,

Do you think it would be worth creating membership website for php learners? I could use screenshots of job classifieds and talk about how much PHP programmers earn, etc ... to attract the members.

Well, I myself am an expert in this stuff so it wouldn't be hard to make the content for me.

What do you think? would it be actually profitable? Would anyone actually join? Is this realistic?
 


there's so many free tutorials/guides/info/forums on php, i don't see this idea getting big. i learned php from all these resources + trial/error.

companies wont hire ppl for php programming if they only show that they signed up for a membership. they'll hire if they have comp sci degrees or a solid portfolio of scripts they've developed.
 
It's not about the tutorials and content that makes people pay - it's the perceived value added. For instance, what would make your site better than all the other free resources out there?

it's not a bad idea if you give the membership for free as there are free php tutorials out there. if you would like to monetize your site then bring in some affiliate ads. once your membership grows, chances are your members would respond to the ads especially if they are relevant.
