Help me out here WickedFire!

I own DesignersMind.com and I'm hard-pressed finding ideas for what to write about. I want to cater to everyone including design beginners to seasoned designers, but I just can't come up with any decent topics!

Also, I want to improve on my writing. I hired someone last night to write an article, "Choosing the Right Font", but it's not of the quality I want on my site.

Any ideas? and writing tips?

Regards,
Tyler

what do YOU want to write about? you want to write tutorials, or you want to write about the aspects of design?
if you want to write tutorials, I can easily give 10 topics I need to learn about ;)

I want to write both articles and tutorials, but let's hear these topics :)
all the hottest new layouts have this "web 2.0 feel" to them
for instance, background tend to have gradients in them, like so:
mod_1col_blk_top_sh.gif

and if you go through design articles on Digg, a lot of them address web 2.0 logos and other stuff of that nature
so maybe you can write tutorials on how to make your site look new and web-2.0-ish
write about one element at a time, and you'll have a ton to write about
easy to read font colors..gradient strokes..outer glow for "depth"..etc..

If you want I can write you up a quick article for in exchange for a link or recommendation ;)

Write tutorials on PhotoShop, more importantly what all the filters do, I know a fair bit about the filters, but there are still tons I don't know about and it could be very useful.

Write about web 2.0 design like stanley was talking about, these are all very interesting subjects that will keep you busy for a long time, well a decent amount of articles anyway.

just some loose words, food for thoughts..

spend time researching what people are searching for, so you can give them what they want, rather than "inventing" a need. and check out your competitors.
You have adsense ads showing, perhaps you can follow them through and see what your competitors are offering then you can offer the same thing and make a better job of it then get rid of the leaks (adsense) and offer the product yourself.. Search your own keywords and study all sites that come up.

I am worseless at writing. But I can take text that shows on those sites and rewrite it, changing words but leaving the same content. eg: to start with with the "find and replace" program change words... "isn't" become "is not" and so on.
Most people mess up "your" and "you're", "it's" with "its" so often you get a base for good content by simply fixing the errors.
Then add ALL content that you find on pages #1 through to #37, make ONE page packed with all this content then add some more.
Most are concerned with SEO crap but if you sit down and pack more info on your subject than any other page available anywhere then on many topics you will get to be at #1 on google.

Forget photoshop tutorials. I have 3 years worth of videos in some 50 dvds packed full. It has been done already and it is already out there, free to all who know where to look for it.
If you can, then make a comparison site. get something like Cheap loans | mortgages | credit cards | home & car insurance - moneysupermarket UK together, populate it with affiliate links and you have made it.
