Miss USA, gets TSA'd, AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

LOL! Right, because TSA has caught so many terrorists.

It's called preventative measures.... you know, the same reason banks put bars on the windows, and have an armed guard in there.... as well as stores that have surveillance and the list goes on and on. Please use your head before blurting out a stupid remark.

We can either have people get molested or we can go back to letting planes fly into skyscrapers, make a choice.

When airport security get paid the same as McDonalds staff then this kind of thing is bound to happen.

And I wrote a very similar response the last few times this topic came up.

I'd rather have them lift up my nut sack (and anyone elses they feel necessary) and check under there to make sure there isn't a bomb hiding in there than have my plane blown up. Safety is paramount. It's more important than some whiner crying about it's violating their privacy blah blah blah.

Don't want to risked being searched, don't fly.

You is sheeple!

Land of the free my ass. You are free only when you are told you can be.

Look at any reports about Tel Aviv airport and tell me that the full body scanner and the molestations are necissary.

The blubbing beauty queen actually made a good point, what happens when the terrorists start hiding the shit internally, like up their ass or sewing it into themselves? You gonna get anally probed or cut open and your still ok? What is the limit of what you'll go through?

This war on terror bullshit scare tactics needs to stop, it's ridiculous. There is not a bogeyman around every corner otherwise shit would be getting blown up daily, this is just a tactic to keep sheeple compliant and scared and to take their rights away and give the few more power over them.

Terrorism isn't about killing people it's about making people very afraid (Terror). And if you can't see that this has already worked and they have already won then you need to open your eyes.

Benjamin Franklin said it best:-

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

9k=
exactly. besides, the last terrorist attack in this country they snuck box cutters through. Honestly, if a terrorist wants to get a shank through security, they will. No amount of pat downs or body scans will stop that, ever. Instead this shit, why don't we just stand for ourselves if someone tries to take over the plane and beat the living shit out of the terrorist? Some tries to hijack my plane I'm going to kill them or die trying.

TSA isn't about security, it's about control.

While I'm all for reducing government involvement overall, when it comes to peoples lives, I don't know if the free market is the right answer.

Competition requires the customer to assess products.

Assessing a bad product when it comes to airline security effectively means risking death. Not only of yourself, but of a whole horde of people who are on the plane, and people on the ground.

Is there a way around this?

No solution will guarantee zero casualties. There is always a risk of death.* The question is, does TSA represent the best possible solution to this problem? Would other solutions be more effective, cost less, or both?

Evidence suggests TSA is incompetent. It is bloated. It does not improve the public's safety (though, oddly, people assume it does). And it poses an enormous cost.

What is the proven benefit of this agency?

If I scratch my ass, and a dog barks, it does not mean my ass-scratching prompted the dog to bark. If TSA feels my daughter up, and a plane does not careen into a skyscraper, it does not mean the molestation prevented deaths.

I believe Murphy's solution offers a much better approach than TSA.

What exactly she cries for ?

Her titties were grabbed and she was patted down there without her permission ?? and thats why she recorded this and put up on viral.

So, now hustler or someone going to book the girl and make a movie :)

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We shouldn't even have a TSA. It should be up to the airlines on which security measures they want to take and it should be up to Americans to choose which level of risk they want to take with each airline. But the sheep love having the government tell them what to do. Freedom is much more fun to talk about than practice.

The difference is, saving lives for a private company is secondary to profits. The moment it's not profitable, they will bail. Or worse yet, without oversight they will cut down on safety procedures to maximize profits. In fact, there is plenty of historical evidence of private companies skimping on safety protocol in order to boost profits.

This isn't a vote of confident for the performance of the TSA or government. It's saying that when the primary goal is safety regardless of profits, at least in theory, fewer people are gonna die.

This isn't to say the TSA is doing a great job. It's just making the distinction between performance and the divergence of priorities when it comes to public/personal safety and profits.

I don't buy it. It is up to the consumer to choose which company they want to go with. If you don't like the safety go with somebody else. If there is nobody else to go with and people want safety then it will be lucrative to fill the void. I would gladly take the "risk" of having my plane flown into a building if I didn't have to pay the extra TSA security BS and waste my time standing in line like a useless eater. It's a complete insult. I'm an American, not a socialist, government-worshiping tool. I know the sheep love it, but not free people. Can we please bring freedom of choice back to America?

Milton Friedman hits on a similar topic in this video:

Tell you what. Let's agree to disagree. Both of us obviously think the other is missing key pieces to the puzzle. I'm okay with that.

Besides, this ground has been covered before, and will likely be covered again. Forum discussions rarely shift perspectives. Plus, you and I will make more money elsewhere. :)

Are you serious? I think 9/11 proved that security affects much more than just the people who chose to fly on that airline. Was it right for the people in the twin towers to die because they chose to go to work?

9/11 proved how easily people can be tricked into giving away their freedom for "security". There are always going to be ways for criminals to do bad things. That's life. You can't have a government crime prevention agency for every possible fear that people have. I know most people love insurance and love being protected from the boogie man, but the romantic illusion that the inept government can protect people is completely ludicrous and factually inaccurate. Nothing is ever perfect - but it is almost always a lot more closer to perfection without the government. Government has very little to offer that can't be offered through private markets.

Do you really think the government can stop people from committing crimes? Do you really think the government can stop people from flying into buildings? People are going to do what they want to do. You can't stop criminals. Do you really think gun control stops criminals from getting guns? It's obvious what's going on to anyone with an IQ above room temperature. But I know the mob will always support big government. They would much rather drink beer, watch basketball and forget about the world because researching history and thinking critically isn't much fun.

The "terrorist" won. They wanted to make america a fucked up place and they sure did...

Allowing this crap is just allowing them to win more.

Unfortunately you can't really stand up for yourself anymore because our government will just throw you in prison. Everyone needs to stand up at once to solve the problem.

If they stopped invading their countries and killing the people it would stop.

but thats a different subject I guess
