MJ DeMarco - The Millionaire Fastlane

As of late, you're right. I don't even really participate in the forums these days, but like I mentioned if you look at some old old posts, there's some gold. For instance, check out anything by the late "peter2" among others. There's a legendary compilation by "snowbank." (diane kennedy before she left as well)

And for the record, I'm a Fastlane fanboi , but more of the old forum stlye back in the day before the book came out type. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for him.

This shit happens once you put out a book, but once you meet him you know he's still legit.

That's true. This is why sites like digg.com are destined to fail. Once they DO hit some type of critical mass, they fall on top of themselves with nothing but lolcats and the like.

The "Wisdom of the Masses" only works at a niche level, and his forum looks like it has gone far beyond its intellectual signal-to-noise capacity.

Will check out those posters though. Thanks

Don't let the lame name of the book distract you, it's the real deal..

LOL! I was just going to say, I would take the book a little bit more seriously if the title didn't have the word Millionaire in it... but hey since everybody is recommending it, I'll give it a shot.

Yeas his forum is pretty bad. Way too many people asking dumb questions and not enough real millionaires.

Lately it's been inundated with some "consultants" scammers as well, some of them well protected by some mods. Have a look through the old sticky threads, but that's about it.

Read and apply the book though - it is gold.

Only read the book, never been to the forum. Knew it would turn out to be yet another Warrior Forum.

had the book sitting around for months. started it yesterday because of the hype in this thread. thought it would be lame, but its actually quite eye-opening

LOL, I forgot that this is an AFFILIATE marketing forum. It would be eye-opening for affiliates. If you join his forum be prepared for him to shit all over being an affiliate.

What he said about affiliates is true and known for a long time. Yet I prefere to create "real" business (especially if online one) having affiliate experience and hopefully money than to start one from position of "burger flipper" (no offence, was flipping myself) and very poor income.

Now about his (MJ's) forum. I think he can't honestly give a damn about people signing for it. I would be surprised to see real millioners there, why should they spend time there having proven track of success? Forum is his another asset. Fastline is not for everyone and he stated it clearly in the book. I doubt if many people will ever create truly Fastline businesses.

Anyway I like the book, thanks to Berto for mentioning it in his 2000 post (well, his post was the place where I learned about it).

Agree with the complaints about the forum, it sucks. But you have to remember that most people who are reading it are coming off of failed MLM ventures and tanked 401ks so they'll be way behind on this stuff.

Mixergy has tons of great interviews that IMO, are better than the information in most of these types of books.

Also check out DomainSherpa.com for some other excellent video interviews with some well known entrepreneurs.

It seems that a lot of people here are really digging this book. I never even heard about MJ DeMarco and his The Millionaire Fastlane book until this thread caught my attention. But I will definitely check it out because of the rave reviews here at this forum. Thanks for sharing OP.

haven't read the book, but that's because they bother me on a visceral, subconscious level. there seems to be this pervasive, uniquely american notion that if you can just get your head right, all your frogs will turn into princesses, money will start rolling in, your balls will be dipped in 24kt gold and the invisible hand of the free market will be giving you daily handjobs. as someone who's been successful, albeit in other endeavours, i can honestly say positive thinking/prayer/karma/whatever had nothing to do with it and it's actually much harder to keep your head on straight *after* you've got a ton of cash and bags of titties ;)

Halfway through the book and wow the sidewalk portion of the book was why I totally failed my first time around after doing IM for a few years.

You are making a judgement about the book without even reading it!??! I am halfway through and you are 100% wrong in your assessment of the book, it is almost exactly the opposite of what you describe. In fact he berates people with that mindset.

Ever hear the saying don't judge a book by it's cover.

Sometimes all people need is a mindset shift and things can and do change drastically. 99.9% of the people who read any self help book will read it put it down and forget about it. But for that small remaining amount it can change lives. You dont know what you dont know and if reading some book can change that mindset and help someone put things in motion how is that bad or wrong?

And you are wrong because if you do have your head right you can do or accomplish way more than anyone thought possible. Do you think any of the highly successful people in the past didn't have there head dead set on achieving something? Mindset is everything

sort of amazed at how everyone in the world loves this book or finds it revolutionary but me. please start naming lifechanging or mind opening tips that are found in this book. i can't think of one thing i didn't already know and i'm definitely not as smart as most of the dudes here posting such glowing reviews. it seemed obviousy and fluffy. he talks and talks and talks and talks in his "talky" writing style without really providing much.

What's your recommendation then?
