I think power is worth more because it gets more respect. Anyone can have money, but they could still be a total dweeb. Power on the other hand, power gives people the upper hand. With power, depending on what type, can do things that money cant imagine.
What are your thoughts?

P.s- sorry for my randomness, but hey, thats what this sector of the forums is for eh? Get at me homies!

Money IS power.

But, what kind of power are we talking about here? I mean... I would rather be superman than Bill Gates.

Disagreed. Power is money, not the other way around. The ability to manipulate and control situations from behind the scenes is far more important than money itself. Money can't buy you power(Paris Hilton=completely ineffective in any way that matters). Power can seize you money though.

I would say that there are different types of power and money is one of them. Just owning money can be power. An indirect power perhaps, but a power nonetheless.

I guess it comes down to how you define power. But as long as something is part of an equation that gives you control over a situation or a person, i consider it to be power.

You seem to be confusing power with absolute power.

Paris Hilton not powerful? She's sure as hell more powerful than the majority of the population.

Sure, people are more powerful than her, but she starts trends, got out of jail extremely quickly, and can do practically anything within the law.

I don't see how that isn't power.

She's powerful in a certain way I suppose, but not proportional to how much cash she has. So I guess money can buy some power, but I'll say power gets money more easily and reliably than money gets power.
(I hope that came out right)

This is such a guy conversation. It needs a feminine touch.

I don't care about power or mass amounts of money, I just want to be happy. What makes me happy is enough money not to worry about finances and love, family, and friends.

neither. I like the fun of it. Having money is boring and unnecessary for me, the process of making money is fun for me. Power eh...

Just kidding turbo :jester:

money because i couldn't care less about power... except in the gym. money enables you to have fun, which is most important.

Money = economic power.

Economic power > political power.

I'm assuming we're talking about political power here. If not someone please elaborate what kind of 'power' we're talking about here. In any case I still strongly maintain money IS power.

"In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

I don't care about power. Money brings security and allows you to live life to it's fullest. Money has allowed me to visit other countries, wake up late and live like a rock star.

Really though, power brings money and money brings power.

Wanting power sounds like some kind of ego trip. Having money and spending money on things you enjoy to enrich your life is way better.

Agreed. And I think that most men will eventually grow up and lose that ego thing.
