I'd rather have money. Power almost always comes with publicity, and I'd like to be as much behind-the-scenes as possible. Money is also mobile, power is usually tied to a certain geographic region where you have a following.

Very few people with true power can't get all the money they desire (IMHO).
Actually, they don't need money because they can skip a step - they don't have to buy what other people use money for (to exchange it for goods and services); they just have it given to them (or taken).

That's ridiculous.
So what do you consider the ability to be financially free? That's power.
You are correct! Look at Obama. Sure he is a multi-millionaire because of his books but look at the power that he has. He could walk into a poor, poverty ridden area and pull out millions of dollars from the ignorant and misinformed.
In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women.
