Your mom's house
Just tried registering a domain there and there's an error with the payment system.

Called customer support and got an Indian guy who told me they were dealing with a high level of calls so he would be happy to open a support request and somebody would get back to me within 1 business day (it's a Friday afternoon, so who knows what that means).

Fail.

Moniker is one of the best domain companies I've used. I even have a support rep available via instant messenger (she's an American), if I have any issues. Anything that happens when I can't reach her, I can always send an e-mail. The few minor issues I've had have always been resolved quickly.

So, what was your problem? You don't know how to use a support ticket system?

Yeah, I've noticed a few issues with the payment system in the past, but otherwise Moniker is great.

They are one of the few registrars who don't watch yer ass, then quickly register the domains you were looking at. It's a safe place to research domains without these types of issues.

I called twice in two days. First time to talk to an account manager and get set up with discounted whois protection. Foreign support guy with poor English answers, opens a support ticket, and I get a call back in about six hours.

Second time was because payment process was jacked. Got a different guy in an oversees call center who offers to open up a support ticket for me and I told him no thanks. If I want to register a domain, I shouldn't have to wait for a call back.

Ended up registering at Namecheap without any problems.

I've heard from a bunch of people here how great Moniker is but I was really disappointed with my experience. Maybe I'll try them again sometime but I'm not expecting much at this point.

Payment anywhere is getting tougher and tougher. Especially if you are not in the USA.

I drop $100 or 200 on Moniker and then use it up into the future. With Moniker at least you know they will probably be in business.

Moniker is the best registar IMO.

I've been very happy with Moniker. So far no issues and they've always been helpful and dealt with any of my tickets fast.

We have had all of our domains with Moniker for several years now (around 2,000 domains) and haven't had any problems with them. They even pushed all of our domains from our old registrar for us (directnic) so we didn't have to bother with that. That being said, their website was a steaming pile for about a year there where it would take literally minutes for it to log me in, but seems to be all fixed now.

I have most of my names with Moniker as well, and as they close up on expiration dates other places, I always move them over to Moniker.

Poto, we probably have the same rep then. And yeah, she's great. Also for discounts. All you gotta do is ask

Never used Moniker but always hear positive things, like they won't just roll over to some kinda shitty legal threat like those fucks over at GoDaddy. I personally use Namecheap, which is great and they have never given me a reason to even try Moniker so I'll probably never know.

Moniker kicks MAJOR ass! I've used 7 registrars so far, Moniker is the only one which makes me feel that my domains are safe. Name.com and namecheap are also great but Moniker is (IMO) the #1 choice by far for people who own domains which are worth a lot of $.

moniker is meh, nothing great. I've had problems with their payment system too, I always had to pay via paypal. I even did a domain lookup, it said it was available, added it to my cart, then paid for it. It then canceled my order afterward cause the domain was already taken! so I now have a credit with them for about $12.00.

I've also put in a support ticket, it took them a week to get back to me.

Now, when my domains are getting ready to expire, everything goes to namecheap. Namecheap is by far the best registrar out there.

moniker is simply the best. anyone who has any domains worth anything uses moniker.

The word "monicker", or more rarely "moniker", is among clowns, most often intentionally misspelled, with a 'c' in accordance with clown tradition that some words are inherently funny (and hence to be preferred over "unfunny" words). The "clown world" has widely embraced "monicker" as equivalent to a stage name or pseudonym.

Plus their name is just cool.

Been with Moniker for many many years now, and have many thousands of domains with them. Never a single issue and i know my domains are always safe, can say that about a lot of other registrars.

NameCheap has been very good and reliable.I have used them for two years now with no problems and great prices.

I have all my domains with Moniker so I swear by them . . . but their support DOES SUCK!

If they could ever get Godaddy style support and no suck like GoDaddy they would be un-stoppable.
