Bull shit, at the end of the day nobody inherits the earth they get buried in it. Enjoy the pleasures in life (cheap and sometimes the expensive too) you only get one shot at it.

True that. Why live cheaply when you could easily afford a more enjoyable life. We only live once.

It was an average. $150 per day on food alone is a waste. Nearly $55,000 per year...on food for one person

I find it hard to believe that I am one of the select few that eats upward $150 a day. It simply depends on what you eat. You could go in and get full on a $10 dish, or on a $90 dish. I like eating gourmet. It's just simply enjoying life. Rewarding yourself. Living without limits. I don't go into a place thinking on how to spend as low possible, I think about satisfying myself. That's it. I'm a spoiled son of a bitch so it takes me $150+ worth of food to get myself satisfied. Nothing wrong with that.

I laughed like hell when I saw the poll, and saw the FINAL personal expenses level option at $2500 or more. LOL. That barely covers my craps/blackjack recreational time for one night.

Yeah $2500 was a little low. Back in the day I'd spend that on Jack Daniels and hookers in before 8 PM.

Spending so lavishly on oneself doesn't impress me in the least because it takes no ingenuity to throw money at everything. Thrift is an essential survival skill, the cheap shall inherit the earth.

A mom who feeds a family of six on $150 a week - impressive.
A single guy who feeds himself on $150 a day - not impressive.

"The problem with being rich and cheap, is that you're still cheap" - R. Kiyosaki

I've had this argument before on here. What's the point of money? To allow you to do stuff or buy stuff. It's not a scorecard - the person with the most money at death doesn't "win".

If you're earnin', bankin' or ballin', sure put some away for a rainy day and some more to invest and diversify your income streams, but spend the rest to increase the quality of your life goddamn it!

Otherwise why waste your time earning it?

I did some calcs the other day and I worked out that I need around $8k/mo in expenses minimum and preferably $10k for a family of 3.

When I'm consulting, I spend at least $30 on food per day - not including dinner - which I eat at home. 3 coffee's ($4x3), breakfast muffin/toast ($5), lunch ($12) and sometimes and afternoon snack ($3-$5). All prices are AUD.

I just think there's two kinds of people... The first type is able to create happiness with money/stuff. The second type can't.

I fall into the second type. I just don't have the desire to obtain a lot of stuff, travel to far off places, or eat gourmet food every night. Sure, there are things I want, but spending money is more of a hassle to me than anything else.

For example, I was talking with my girlfriend last fall about how I never buy anything. She wanted to know what the point of having money was if I didn't spend it... It had been at least a year since I bought anything for myself to just buy something. So I took a few thousand dollars and we went shopping. We looked at clothes, electronics, camping gear, etc... After about 8 hours of shopping I came back home empty-handed.

Basically I'm a happy hermit and don't care about what goes on outside of my condo.

Fuck, who gives a shit about stuff -- it's all about experience.

I don't give a fuck how good your food taste, it doesn't beat a "shoot hooter". Basically the drink girl puts an alcohol vital between her tits, and feeds it to you. Then she smacks your fucking face with her boobs.

All for $10 in Montreal, Club Super Sex.

Fuck yeah.

But to be honest, who gives a fuck if you spend ALOT of money, or none at all. At the end of the day, all it matters is -- are you happy?

Then it's all good.

So, all jokes aside, what do you value or desire? Time? world of warcraft? watching ufc?

You know what? Maybe I'm a little drunk but FUCK THIS.

I'm moving to Vietnam/Thailand. Fuck this. They're not bringing me to FEMA camp.

Internet Marketing by the day, fucking Thai teen girls by night.
