Most addicting game of all time?

As my family is a bit addiction prone, I have been addicted to several games.
This also leads me to playing thorugh a lot of them.

(in no particluar order)

- Tetris
- Great Giana Sisters
- Battle Isles
- Counter strike (quite mundane, that addiction, isn't it?)
* Day of Defeat and DoD Source
- Sim City (the very first one, the rest is crap)
* Guild wars
- Ports of Call (aaah...great times)

You will still find me playing the starred ones, and Team Fortress is creeping up on me.

Bubbles! (I don't play games and apparently this is why, you throw any game at me and I'm hooked..errr...not that I'm still playing it....)

Goldeneye was fuckin excellent!

For me it's been the civilization series, from civ to civ 4 and the ppc clone (pocket empire?)... all just so fuckin addictive. Can't let myself get into playing it again - way too easy to lose a few days!

And gotta admit, WoW has taken a good chunk of my time too on and off over the last few years.

Tradewars (from the BBS days)

I LOVED that shit! It's amazing how your imagination can fill in the blanks the what you have in front of you is simple. I had a great time.

The most addictive game for me would be Space Madness on the old Macs ( before powerpc) and Homeworld series.

Age of empires 2 on zone.com, I've been playing it off and on since 98.. pretty dead now since zone.com doesn't have it anymore

Definitely Goldeneye when it came to playing with friends

single player: Age of Empires 2, Final Fantasy VII, Xenogears, C&C Red Alert 2

perfect dark
ut 2004

singleplayer was morrowind. I was sooo addicted to that game. must've spent like 100 hours at least playing.

CounterStrike.
I still play it and have just started getting into Team Fortress2
Also...Battletoads for NES. I spent hours trying to get past the level where you ride the floating motorcycle and try to jump and avoid asteroids.

duuude battletoads is the shiiiiit! i forgot about that game

Megamania... I pwned that game on the Atari 2600. I bought a Gameboy Advance and 99% of the time I used it, I used it to play fucking Megamania. I used to play lots of other 2600 games, like Pitfall and shit, but that was a long time ago.

Played a lot of Metroid on SNES/N64/GBA.

On Commodore 64, I played a lot of Boulder Dash, Jumpman series, Miner 2049'er, Hard Hat Mack, Loderunner, Bruce Lee, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Impossible Mission, Uridium, and all the fucking Infocom games.

On the PC, Psycho Pinball, Warcraft I (not the online MMO, the original PC game for DOS), Tomb Raider, Ultima III, Doom I, Doom II, Carmageddon, Grand Theft Auto (all of them), and Everquest. Recently, I'd have to say the Half Life 2 series, and Portal. They are all amazing games.

If you say The Sims I will stab you in the fucking eye.
