Man... kryptic minds is 'true dubstep'

All this dubstep with wobbles and filthy crazy bass is newer dubstep labeled 'brostep'

Dubsteps definition is bass music with a BPM of 140. Wobble bass doesn't define dubstep. And you probably can't even hear the bass on the Kryptic Minds track without very good headphones or a subwoofer. It might even have 'wobble' in it, but just be extremely deep bass.

hey, first post in here and guess what, they're talking about dubstep, haha... mmoskol couldn't be more right in my view... i'm a uk garage/grime/dubstep dj since over 10 years... I played this stuff when it wasn't even coined the term "dubstep"... and his discribtion hits the nail on the head man...

don't get me wrong i like a good wobble tune here and there too, but check out some real classic gems (better turn up those subwoofers):

bigup the bassheads :smokin:

I kinda dig it, so hopefully this next question won't make me sound too old, but what's the difference between this stuff and regular electronic?

I am not to big on other electronic music genres myself, but it generally has a darker and deeper sound compared to other genres. It's focus is on the bass, whether it be the newer midrange wobble bass ([ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbLLywkPEKQ]YouTube - Rusko - Cockney Thug (Caspa Remix Full Version & Explicit)[/ame] - the wub wub wub wub part) or the deeper sub-bass that FastCashMoney posted. The newer mis range wub wub wub songs are being called 'brostep' due to all the college bro's jumping on the dubstep bandwagon in America.

It's been around 10 years or so (i think, might be wrong on this) in the UK, and within the past 1 year - 2 years, it has started blowing up in America. It's starting to get mainstream now with top 40 artists like Britney Spears doing songs and having dubstep producers produce her latest CD.

Snoop dog has even done at track

Not all DJs press play on a computer. Go look up a real turntablist and see the incredible things they can do. I guran-fucking-tee you that you couldn't come close to doing the amazing things they do.

Check out this vid, he literally takes this Flux Pavilion song and makes a new song out of it on the fly.

When I hear about dubstep, all I think about is Dom Mazzetti
