Motherfucking Great White spotted at the beach I go to every day

Not lately but used to hit D street in Encinitas and Cardiff break a lot when I lived there.

I've seen sharks but can't say I've ever seen one in our neck of the woods be aggressive. People sure do freak out though.

I would freak for sure. Good friend of mine surfs daily in Los Cabos.

We had a kid get attacked by a bull shark when he fell off his jet ski about 150 yards off shore. I see bull sharks sometimes in the Gulf. They swim in super shallow water. I prefer to swim in the intercoastal around sandbars and lots of boat traffic. I feel safer, so if I'm delusional, please keep it to yourself. I'm about to go out there right now for a wakeboarding sesh.

You and I must be neighbors. I referenced the same jetski attack earlier in the thread. Also, you are no safer in the back bays at the gulf. Some of the best shark fishing in the gulf is back in the bays. The sharks move up Perdido pass and right into those shallow waterways around Ono Island and junk. Big bull sharks, too.

I had an encounter in Little Lagoon earlier in the year with a pack of small blaktips on my kayak. Was washing blood off my hands in the water. Sharks got excited and I watched them coming at me with their fins out of the water. They were within a couple of feet before I got my anchor up. Never paddled so fast in my life.
