Moving On from a Network

If you're not chasing the higher $ amount then you're doing a disservice to yourself.

The only thing you could have done differently was approach Network A and give them the opportunity to pay you more based on your ability to generate volume, but my guess is they wouldn't have matched.

I know which network you are referring to, and I don't see anything wrong with what you did. What is wrong with going out and getting more money? They shouldn't be mad that someone is just trying to make more money for themselves.

thats pretty stupid for the network to do if its true. Its just one offer and who knows one day you could come back to run with them again. Instead they destroyed the relationship between each other because they are bitter.

Here is what really had me confused though: The way Network A acted as if I owed them so much for "what they did for me." Have you ever had a network or AM treat you like they made you as a marketer and high-earning affiliate simply because... they paid you on time? I don't understand the mindset that, because I am being paid what I have worked for and earned, I should owe that network and be completely worshiping and loyal to them. Isn't being paid the bare minimum? Is something like this common in affiliate marketing, as in should this be how I expect any AM or network to respond when I find an identical, higher-paying offer elsewhere?

I've experienced this. I think it's pretty common too. What isn't common is the network doing more then asking you a few times to stick with them but instead trying to ruin your reputation.

Although I have heard of that happening before as well.

I thought the Poh-leese shot your ass up?

GTF out of this area and post stats on the LP suggestions I gave you.

Affiliate marketing is ultimately a partnership between the network and the affiliates. Both sides should have incentives to see the partnership succeed and have it be as profitable as possible. Its supposed to be a professional relationship based on common interest. The moment that the affiliate has a more profitable opportunity then he no longer has a shared interest in directing traffic to a network.
Any decent network and AM should realize this fundamental fact and its fucked up if they're trying to bad mouth you instead of seeing what they can do to rebuild a relationship with you.

Hard and expensive lesson learned but glad you moved on. Push your traffic to a more legit network and make some dough.

Really, you should post who he fuck is Network A. Network B is bidclicks, we got that. Scumbags are everywhere and if they fucked your reputation, you have every fuking right to fuck theirs. Not just for the sake of it, but that would prevent other newbies working with these scumbags.

It's simple, you were working with a peasant network that needed your traffic to put food on the table. Additionally, it was probably run by turbofaggots (such as XY7).

Business is business. You have a fiduciary duty to your company to generate as much profit as possible. That means constantly shopping around suppliers and vendors for the best deals possible. The only thing you should be ashamed of is that you didn't do this earlier.

You're going to look back on this post in a year and feel embarassed. But hey, look at the good news: you moved on. You're dealing with a network that doesn't need your $1000/day to feed their families and you can focus on growing your business.

Remind me again, what were they taking 20% again for? Was it the 30 seconds of setting up a tracking pixel? No, it was a 20% cut for taking advantage of your ignorance. Lesson learned.
