Moving to South Florida

^^^ My initial thought as well. I was like...

Spam is just so negative. I wouldn't call that services as spam... it's more "Aggressive" marketing.

For example, some "Aggressive" marketing does what normal takes 6-12 months in 1 week. It's like your "condensing" time, so you can get quicker results. Spam... no, not in my opinion... "Aggressive", maybe that's more "accurate".

Distraction in 5, 4, 3, 2...

I know you said Condo, but give this a look.

Indian Shores Florida Annual Rental Tampa Bay Florida Gulf Coast Long Term Rentals Condos, Homes Townhouses Sun Vista Realty, Inc.

Vista Cove Townhomes are located directly across the street from the beach in a quiet community called Indian Shores. This townhouse offers 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, an oversized 2 car garage, eat in kitchen and washer and dryer.
The complex is directly across the street from the beach with its own private beach access, heated pool and community boat slips and docks.
First Months Rent, Last Months Rent, Security Deposit and Non Refundable Pet Deposit (if applicable) required to move in.

I posted that up to give you an idea of some other options in that area.

American Top Team is in Ft. Lauderdale. Reason enough to move there.

I live a few blocks away from American Top Team (Coconut Creek). It's a great location - near Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, 50 minutes from Miami, nice neighborhoods and plenty to do.

I do a 1-2 months a year in south Florida and from what you described, South Beach would be a nightmare.

North Beach and north-er would be great, and there are some amazing deals, but nothing ocean front (unless you are only looking for proximity to the water). Tampa is a shit hole, but that could just be my obnoxious standards.

For a 2BR / 2BA, you'll need 2K+ to spend..

So many votes for Tampa!? I would never live there, in fact I lived in NE St Pete even though it was an hour drive into Tampa each way to get to USF and I had to make that trip almost daily.

Tampa is a massive ghetto, seriously the entire city is ghetto as shit. All of the normal people live just outside the city by like 20-30mins. In those areas its all prefab homes, apartments, chain restaurants and shopping centers designed to have what you need. It was like some master designed stepford wives shit. Planned communities suck.

Ft Lauderdale is great... Pompano Beach might be a little cheaper and you're still pretty close to the air port.

Also in Pompano.. you're close enough to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Boca, West Palm... etc.. you will never be bored.

When you planning to make it down here?

Which part or parts of Florida are the least oppressively hot and humid?

Let's not forget the whole state is in a storm belt. Any place you buy or rent has to be up to code, lest the roof get ripped away when the next storm passes through.
