AFTER your account has been verified
AFTER your wire transfer details have been validated

How long does it take to get the money after you have initiated a wire transfer request?

Anybody have any recent experience on this?

thx...

I talked to an Australian guy recently who said he got a $5k deposit initiated 6 months ago.

Your money is gone. Check any Gox thread on bitcointalk and there isn't a single positive thing said about it. Not to mention, the US gov/banks have blackballed Gox for failing to pay for the necessary licenses so I wouldn't want to have their name showing up anywhere near my main bank accounts.

Interesting. Same article says that Japanese bank account wire transfer often occur in one day or less.

BTW Anybody who thinks these exchange houses are going out of business anytime soon really needs to brush up on their math.

Bitcoin goes up, the houses gets some vigorish. Bitcoin goes down, the houses get the vig too.

The bookies don't care if it's the Seahawks or the Patriots who win the Superbowl, they take their cut anyway.

Um I would not attempt any sort of USD transfer with mtgox

Mtgox is for trading, not for cashing out.

Have you or anyone else had to verify your accounts?

Now mtgox is requiring account verification just to withdraw btc out. Wtf. Yeah.. beware of these fuckers. Soon as i transferred btc they locked my account and now want me to send them color copies of either my drivers license or passport AND a utility bill with my name on it. JUST to move some btc.. no cash involved.

Who the fuck wants to send that kinda personal data to MtGox?

Doing some digging to decide if im going to give in and do it or not.. thankfully, since it was my first time using them there's only .1 btc in there.. but still.. i want my hundred bucks back yo.

Thinking forking over my personal info isnt worth .1 btc.. and i may just call it a loss.

Any opinions/related experience?

This is normal with any money substitute, money transfer, wire transfer etc.

You are living the Bitcoin dream. Bitcoin being treated by everyone (including government) as money.
