My 9 day challenge $0 - $1,500

UPDATE:

Today kinda sucked. spent roughly 3 hours making calls and scheduled one appt. for Sunday (cutting into my drinking time:angryfire but oh well.. had to push another one of my appts for this week back to monday the 18th.

Also, I upped all of my prices. I'm not walking away from a meeting with less than 700$, and a goal of 1000$ average.

Either way, my efforts from these 9 days, with the appointments I already set, should net me at least 3 grand. And the week is still young.

I always meet clients at a neutral location. Places like starbucks or hotel lobbys etc.. Anywhere that has free wifi... The appointments are crazy easy, they already know how much shit costs, so all I gotta do is make 'em feel comfortable with me and it's a wrap.

Was curious, have you thought of adding card processing to your client offering as a cross or upsale?

I have several referral sources who send me start-up e-comm and retail cross sales who're doing pretty much what you're doing.

Sold 900$ today. 600 for website + 300 for G places. Easy close.

That brings me to 1600$ for my little project.. Not too shabby for less than 12 hours of work..

Outsource to his indian minions I'd guess and spend more time doing stuff that brings in the money -> cold calling, going to appts.

Thanks. Not really willing to share client websites at this point. But yes, they are done on WP. I have have unlimited licensing for a couple of pro themes that I use for most client sites.

I had that happen to me twice.

One was a huge company, the other was a one man show.

The one man show lost his house during a California wildfire so had more pertinent things to worry about. The other vanished off the face of the earth.

that happened to me about 50:50 when i was doing work for clients back in the day. they were all enthuastic about 'getting on the internet' and handed over the money, then i never heard from them again! i equate it to people who buy e-books the whole time, they feel great buying the shit telling themselves it's money that'll make money.

i'm thinking of getting back into it, and upselling overpriced hosting to them, get their credit card on file and bill €40 a month or something. could make a nice bit with people not cancelling.
