After a few year of marketing in SEO i have decided to start paying for traffic. I decided to run with POF from all the newsletter tips from EWA.

I had a few conversions with POF but not good ROI.

This thread is going to be more of a case study to see what works and what doesn't.

I was running offers on Neverblue but im now sending all my traffic to EWA since they pay weekly:updown:.

Right now i only have one offer running. Split testing and rotating ads but no conversion.

Total Spent - $15.72
Impressions Delivered - 35018
Clicks - 19
CTR - 0.054%
CPC - $0.78

CPC is crazy expensive!!!! My goal is to aim for $0.20 - $0.30

Here is the DEMO:

Country = United States
Age - Between 24, 30
Gender = Female
Drinking Habits = Socially
Income = Than 25,000, 25,001 to 35,000, 35,001 to 50,000
Login Count ≤ 100
Marital Status = Single, Separated, Divorced
Session Depth - 1 to 10





This ads is a test and will run untill it reaches its budget.

I will post the results and hop on to the next campaign.

Interesting thread. I will keep my eye on this one for more info as I am thinking to pay for traffic as well so I love to read every info on this matter. Keep up.
 
Throw another targeting option in there that makes that generic demo a little more niche and you'll see a lower CPC.

Or actually, since you're targeting women who make less than $50k, you'll want to attack this from the angle of a woman who can't break the $50k ceiling.. so offer them a man that can.

cmon man dont out my ads...
 
also try new ad images. your CTR is too low for POF.
Try to shoot for anything above 0.10 %

also keep in mind that the FEMALE demo clicks less but convert higher. while MALE demo click more but convert lower.

try landing pages they tend to convert higher as well. direct linking works too, but your margins will be lower.

Ok i just left the rat race and im back in my home office. (9 to 5 life sucks)

Pennies right now but i got some projects on hold that i will work on soon.

Im gonna run the same campaign since it was re directing to a diffrent offer. Luckily I caught on to it early and notify my affiliate manager. Took a lost but im working it out with my network.

Just set up two campaign for testing. Same offer i was running before but had to pause.

I took into consideration all the tips i learned here and ready for the results.

This test will run from 03/15/2011 to 03/16/2011.

From there i will determine if the offer is worth running and invest more on it.

Meantime i will come up with more ad copy, pics and other offers to promote.
