My Relentless-1-Month Amazon Store Project

You gave no actual information of where your traffic is coming from.
You listed all the various steps you took to promote and drive traffic to your site but then only provided the traffic overview?

You need to use the analytic's to the fullest extent. Sounds like you spent a lot of time writing articles, is it paying off with traffic or completely useless like I suspect?

Like many others have said: 1 month isn't a long time at all, I'm actually surprised you got a lead already from it/

My Relentless-1-Month Amazon Store Project

Relentless and 1 month should never be in the same sentence

did amazon rule the cyber world in 1 fuckn month? Huh mutha fucker

Just thought i would give my thoughts. You are ahead of 99% of people just because you have tried.
:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Hey OP. Iam myself a software vendor. Its my own software for IM and not any affiliate product or e-stores like amazon or ebay. Also, i use avangate as my payment processor.

Thought i would tell you something related to my experience. I just started this january (21 jan) when i launched my product. I did some freelancing and fiverr work to set-up my site.

1) Domain cost + hosting
2) IDE development (VS 2008) for making software
3) Some 3rd party tools again for development
4) Theme for wordpress site

(initial investment goes beyond $2500 but its 1-time payment)

Other than this no other penny spent for :
1) Article writing or description
2) Logos and banners
3) SEO (iam pretty xperienced in it)
4) SMO

In jan 1st week through facebook i got my first sale ($50-$3 for processing charges). The first sale boosted my spirits so much that the next whole month of feb i focussed on really tough keywords but high converting ones. I got to second rank for the main keyword in march beg.

By that time in feb i made approx. $300. You know why iam posting the results with returns? heres why

1) no rank - 1 or 2 sales through SMO means approx $80
2) top 10 - 5 or 6 sales through SEO+SMO means approx. $300
3) 2nd rank - 1 sale everyday though SEO only. Now i don't focus on SMO. Sales is approx 30 licenses means $1200-1300.

Future expectations:
1) When i rank on first position i might sell 50+ license each month. Means $2000+ each month.
2) Try to conquer other keywords also.
3) According to samurai i can get a total of 4-5 sales everyday. You calculate how much difference it makes.

The only difference between us is that each sale will return a little less than mine but you have got so many products that it will beat the hell out of my sales. Take it seriously for atleast 4-5 months straight. I don't know about setting up a second site. Iam always like work on 1 project at a time.

Also you are into a difficult niche. IPAD is not easy to go. You will need heavy SEO and SMO to make earnings a worthwile. But the best bet right now is to focus on facebook and twitter. You have absolutely no idea of their power. Create a fan-page + get some likes, let the word spread about your site. Write some testimonials (ask your friends for their photos) etc. Start building a huge empire and don't think that its just a .com domain.

Also if possible get rid of adsense from header location. Place it somewhere else. Or don't place it all. You do not want to send people away for few cents. You want them to spend more time at your site and then convert them into sales.

The design is nice - appealing specially to me. No other flaws detected with your site other than timespan. You need to get into a broader perspective with your site (as i said 4-5 months for ecommerce site). After that hard work pays off.

Try to cover your basic expenditures first like hosting charges, SEO work (just 3 squidoos r you kidding me???). Ecommerce needs tons of web 2.0s, backed by profile links or SB. And whatever you do do not settle for anything less than first position in google.

According to a study 1st position gets 42% click and second gets (11%). Rest is shit. Top 10 and top 5 are nothing but jackass positions and will not return much because those on 1-4 will also try to make sales right??

I would recommend start studying SEO - follow all threads in traffic-content and other forums (BHT, BHW etc.). Its a little costly if outsourced and takes time to learn. But try to study every little detail you can.
