I have decided to stop all the reading and do exactly like the thread 'No Excuses'. I am tired of bullshitting. I have signed up for hostgator, registered a business, signed up for clickbank and cj for now.

I am now in the process of finding the niche, the one thing I understand is not to be afraid to take a popular niche just make sure I do keyword research. I am faced with one problem should I just try to work on 1 site at a time or do atleast 3. I am going to try my best and not outsource any work until I learn how to do it myself, so when the time comes to outsource I can tell them exactly what I want.

I will be updating this thread with the product(s) and domain name(s) I have chosen. Also I think I will be working with wordpress modified for seo etc. since I have no html/php experience.

Ok cya guys

There are so many ways to approach this.

I would identify a general niche where you can find a number of sub-niche products to market. Then go out and buy a domain name that includes that general niche name in it.

Start building sub-niche pages/posts promoting the sub-niche products.

I'm kind of talking out my ass because I've never followed through with this, but I plan to give it a try when I have some damn time.

Keyword Research and Domains

I chose the weight loss niche because it is summer and one of the biggest problems in America is weight loss. I know it is a pretty big niche but worth a try to see how far it can take me. Also I will be working on a workout website but not until I get on some other affil networks. Everything below is the keyword research I have done. I am not great at keyword research but this is the best I can do until I get some more experience.

Products I will be writing about on the webpage till I can get on some real affiliate networks. Note: These are only CJ and CB affils.

Have a goodnight and hopefully you all had a great father's day.

update

Just an update on what I have done.

Now that I have been accepted to AdValiant I will be adding these two products:
·Ultra Green Tea
·Grean Tea Cleanse

I saw a keyword I will be using from one of the websites. ‘Remove Excess Weight’ Other then that nothing new to be said here I got a better domain name but I won’t post it seems as if it takes longer for your post to be approved if it has an url in it. I will begin the article writing tomorrow and hopefully find the right theme to work with. If anybody has any questions and/or suggestions please shoot them over. P.S. I don’t think my other post has been approved yet but this will all make sense once you see that one.

Organically- I am thinking Directory and Article submissions. I think I have another way to get some organic traffic but I will keep my mouth shut and see if it works if it does I will inform you all of how it worked out. I don't know much about ppc besides that newbie guide I read on nickycakes blog. I am trying to learn as much as I can on the subject but a lot of the material I am reading just seems to put but me back at point A. I will get some more reading done today on PPC.

As stated before none of my articles will be outsourced, all hand written by me.

Hey, great to see you are starting doing something atleast, well done.

What kind of site are you using? Coded yourself or a blog like wordpress? Id recommend using wordpress as it is really easy to install and has nice themes that makes the page look good and easy to configure and comes with decent plugins and so on.

As for going organic, I do that myself and one thing to remember is that it takes time to develop visitors. My first blog i posted like once every other week and made some directory submissions, and was upset seeing no visitors. I then sat down and wrote like 40 articles in 5 days and posted them up every second day. Still I saw no visitors and I got fed up. Two months later I checked my stats for my page, and what do you know, I had just starting to get some traffic to my site and now Ive averaged 30 visitors a day for the last month with the same articles.

I think I need to work on my link building some more, I havent done much of that, so I guess that could bump my visitor count even more, but you just keep posting to your blog regurlary and submit to ezinearticles and the visitors will come for sure.

The word "buy" is important for keywords, as well. And when you have a page with reviews, make sure you are reviewing and comparing multiple products, that way, they won't have to look at other people's websites to compare them. Made that mistake a while ago. Stupid...

Hey, good for you, taking the plunge like that.

If you're going for organic, get an auto-form filler plugin for your browser and take a day to sign up to pretty much all the social bookmarking sites.
Once you've got accounts and can automatically log in, everytime you want to do a bit of social spamming, head over to Social bookmarking service. Fast tagging and posting to all major social websites - SocialMarker.com.
REALLY speeds shit up, and the linkage is a nice plus.

Also, if you're doing the weight loss thing as a blog, might be a good idea to actually start losing weight yourself, and then say it's all thanks to product X...

Good luck, mate!

Yeah, good luck and its great you're actually taking action.

My advice is only to get .com domains instead of the spammy .info ones, and also to get a domain with the word "fat" in it. Because many of your keywords contain this word, when you're bidding on them, this keyword will be highlighted as part of the URL, and that will help you catch searchers' eye a bit more.

Guys thanks for all the great advice. Before I post the site I am going to do everything I have read here. I need to do the review for all the products and have at least 20-30 articles up. I also have a little problem I put the blog on a domain already and now I want to switch it to a .com domain. Is there anything I need to avoid doing when making this move?

I agree, I saw the INFO an went oh no. Use .com or .net for your domains. I agree with using general domain names. If your niche is cars, you could promote car loan quotes, car parts, car extended warranty, ect.. I would check the competition and amount of impressions for the keywords. If keyword x has a high competition, and like 3million pages, you will probably find it hard to rank. Check out the sites on the first/second page and see what they did to get there, and do it better. You can rank the first page for out of the box keywords, and still get tons of traffic. Like i dunno, grean tea for dummies may get like 100,000 searches a month, but have a low-medium competition. (didn't research the keyword, but just an example of something outside the box. Where grean tea obviously would have a higher competition.) You could target a specific location, like Florida Grean Tea, or even Miami Florida Grean Tea. Provide infomation related to the area, and throw in your affiliate link. You don't want to do: Smallpopulation Indiana, but more like Indianapolis Indiana Grean Tea. Keep with the largest cities, or larger states. California Weight Loss. Those are just ideas off the top of my head. I did not research any of those. Definately research and become one with your niche. I would even throw in a few bucks a day in PPC once you get the site setup. I am not the best at SEO, but I have learned some things from the block lol.

Well to update everybody, I got sidetracked on damn ppc. I am still going to develope this website but I am kind of addicted to ppc which I plan to take serious. I will use this thread for both my ppc ventures and future seo.

So with all that said I have started a ppc campaign for auto insurance which went horrible but nothing wrong with that. I am now moving into the dating niche, mediastar100 is developing a lp for me. I have setup my tracking software, a good domain name and signed up for wordze. I think one of my biggest issues is thinking outside the box like shudogg was stating, hopefully that comes with time. Ok guys I am going to do my keyword research, an update should come this friday.

Ok a small update I did a dating offer from CXDigital with yahoo. 29 dollars later - 39 clicks and only 1 conversion. I learned one thing from this DON'T bid 1.00 on all keywords. I thought I was doing the smart thing by bidding high so I can see what converts but if anything that screwed me because I had some short tail keywords that were naturally going to get clicks which 25 clicks were all from short tail(.89 -1.00 for those clicks).

Make sure proper trackiing is in place like the n00b that I am. I setup all these ad groups, the works and forgot to add the tracking in for my destination url. So now that I added the proper destination URL I have to wait for all these ads to get approved again which seems to be an all day thing. So tomorrow if all these ads get cleared by tonight I should have some detailed information on how it is going.

This is more of getting my feet wet I have another campaign I am going to give a go. Just need to do all the keyword research this weekend.

Looking forward to updating you guys.

I just made a weight loss blog. Just like you, i got fed up of reading and decided i should start doing something. Anyway, its in a sub niche of weight loss. I was just wondering whether you guys think its better to write about how to lose the weight, or how "i" specifically lost the weight? Or both for that matter, though im not sure how id do that.

And how much do you target your keywords for organic traffic? I used googles keyword tool to find keywords, and there are quite a few with little competition. I'm thinking of writing the articles myself and spending my money on some ppc to speed up the process.

I'm not exactly sure which offers im going to promote, but i figured i'd do something about that once i start getting some traffic/start spending on ppc.

I would say do a mix of both just apply them together. Just like most AM blogs they are teaching while really talking about what they do, so it becomes the readers choice to try and replicate there success. As for targeting with ppc I really would not know sir, that is something thes experts can only comment on.

I think product wise it is easy to promote multiple products. You can basically say you use x prudct to do pushups and you drink "green tea product". Just at the begining of the blog you can Say you used that colonox product to lose that intial 5-10lbs. Gotta love the weight loss niche so much different streets to walk.

Good Luck,

Jermaine
