not a single thing wrong with wanting to become alpha, but could one person describe what those vids are about because neither i nor 98% of my bros here care to sit thru 2.5 hours of bullshit to get to the bottom of your point.

The producers are putting people who claim to be alpha all together in some mini-community where they focus on male-oriented tasks like working on car engines, encounter pretty women who end up in danger, etc. They get surrounded by actors and hidden cameras and evaluated to see who can edge out the real position of alpha. Watching their body language and word choices and crap. It was fun enough, the first one. I'm going to play the next one now, as long as it keeps not-sucking as a background noise show while I twerk.

And yeah, you can want to become alpha all day and even fake it, but it do what it do, as you see in these videos. There can be only one, and I'm the Highlander, or just high.
 
I've never really bought the Alpha/Beta dichotomy. Transposing a natural order onto the artificial hierarchies of human society seems flawed.

I think most women would rather mate with an alpha chimp than a beta human.

It's also ironic how a continent of alphas like Naftali were so easily enslaved. Not really very alpha. Guess intelligence also plays a part in the long run.

You don't quite get it though. Alpha/Beta is not a good way to describe human interaction because our societies are much more complex. While there are clearly animalistic instincts present in our social interactions, the thing that makes humans different is that we transcend nature.

We invented monogamy, laws against polygamy (harems), laws against hypergamy (difficult divorce), laws against infidelity, these are laws aimed at restricting our animalistic instincts because we can't have that nice civilization if we all run around trying to become the alpha so we can have the harem. One man - one woman allows energy to be spent at other things than jostling for pussy.
 
only a beta male would watch a video to try and learn how to be alpha
