I installed it not long ago on iPage and have been using it since. It's been working fine but it's taking anywhere from 6 to 10 seconds just to get to the offer page. I'm noticing my leads and sales have went down atleast 40% since using it (mainly with PPV). Know of any fast ones or perhaps ones you're using besides BlueHost and Hostgator?

First, how fast is your internet connection?

Second, wtf is iPage?

Third, have you thought about getting a dedi or vps? I've never had any problems with bluehost or hostgator. It sounds like there may be other issues.

You need atleast a VPS if you running PPV , I heard alot of people like what EP suggested , I have Liqiud Web VPS and have never had any issues , going to move it over to storm very soon .

dude if your using ppv, go get either rackspace cloud server so you can scale when you need to or try liquidweb vps. Rackspace is pretty cheap if your just starting out.

They even have an image with cPanel/WHM preinstalled. Fully scalable on demand. Liquid Web's Storm isn't scalable on demand as you need it, you'd have to have them do it.

When you want to scale up on Storm, you just hit resize, pick the size you want and then it auto does everything. Their managed version has cpanel/whm as well. How does giganet do it?

These look sweet and much cheaper than rackspace!

LOL just spent 5 mins on Rackspace and had to bail. Too many fake smiling people in my face and very convoluted navigation. Don't even think I made it to the prices. Might be the best deal in the world but I will never know.

When you go with the cloud servers, don't you have to manually install PHP, MySQL, and all that to run P202? I am a server noob and this seems like a pain to me.

Cloud servers are basically just shared hosting with more hardware and better load balancing.

Whatever you expected to have on shared you will have on cloud.

Thanks,

I just need to know of some shared web hosts that are known to work good with it (I don't push mass volume). I've heard alot that bluehost is good with prosper as I mentioned but I refuse to do business with them anymore (long story).

Nah, my internet connection is fine. It's just the load time for any aff link through prosper is a bitch on my current hosting plan (iPage).

Standard shared plans are not good for it.

If I were you I'd look at the $50 plan here

Or stalk Rackspace for one of their free demo accounts where you can get a month for free then just pay $49 per month after.

I researched lots of the cloud services and Gigenet seemed to be the best choice.

Cloud Hosting | GigeNET Cloud - Cloud Servers - Linux, Windows, R1Soft, cPanel, CentOS, ClearOS, Debian, and Ubuntu Cloud Servers

That's BS, I host my stuff on Storm on Demand and you can resize your servers, clone instances etc as you need it, and you don't have to ask LW to do it for you.

P.S You can even access their api and have your scripts resize/clone servers as you need...
